@everittdmickey I believe we are currently amidst that battle, AI versus human. In the driving sector I believe AI would be a good replacement for the consistent human errors. That being said, the conflict we will see from the transition in the forced relinquishing of our freedom in transportation most likely will be unimaginable from our current perspective.
Elon musk sees a future in which we do long-distance travelling in underground networks of self propelled sleds on a Hydro magnetic drives. Yet also fears the functionality and the implementation of said AI.
So in short even one of the leading companies of the world is led by someone that doubts the success of AI rather supporting the need for human intervention.
Keep’em coming, brother!
I dunno if I've heard anyone say that self driving cars have to be MANDATORY...
drive it when you want to...let it drive itself other wise.
My opinion of AI is that the fears are WAY overblown.
I’m thinking way down the line when self driving cars have proven to be way better than humans and then those corporation start rallying to remove humans from the equation to be able to lower their own Insurance rates.
Sorry sometimes I have a hard time getting all my thoughts down, Damn my out-of-the-box brain.
The average lifespan of a company listed in the S&P 500 index of leading US companies has decreased by more than 50 years in the last century, from 67 years in the 1920s to just 15 years today
what did you say?
So way down the line would be 15 years only then hey!? 🤫
The point is that by then many of the present day corporations will be gone..who knows how the new ones will act?
