Hello dear Steemians!
Yesterday my reputation reached the level of 70! And I am so happy!
Now let me tell you briefly about my experience on Steem blockchain. In 2017 the brokerage company I'd worked for 4 years as a currency, commodities and stock market analyst assigned a new task for me: my boss said: "You have to become a cryptocurrency analyst for us as well!".
So I started to actively follow many cryptocurrency developers, blogs, forums in order to read information about crypto. Later I started to follow Steem blockchain as well (I think it was in August 2017). Because of some reasons I didn't register on Steem blockchain at that time. But I continued to follow Steem blockchain and in the middle of December of 2017 I decided to register ...
On 19th of February, 2018 I received the confirmation from Steem blockchain. So, it turned out that I had to wait almost 2 months for the confirmation (At that time there was probably congestion of applications on Steem blockchain) ... and that's the date (19.02.2019) when my Steem journey started!
At the very beginning I didn't know anyone on Steem blockchain except two of my colleagues (@edwardsun55 and @cryptovskaya) that registered on Steem blockchain after talking with me. At the very beginning, since I was working as a cryptoanalyst I started to post on Steem blockchain analyses about crypto, some crypto relating news, etc that I used to write for the brokerage company I was working at.
Unfortunately, due to some misunderstandings (the whale thought that I was not the original content creator), one whale (he was a very big whale at that time) started to downvote me:
and my reputation dropped from 25 to 23 or 22 almost immediately at the very beginning of my journey, because of the downvotes (*25 is the starting reputation level and it turned out the my reputation couldn't grow even by 1 point from 25 to 26):
I wrote to the whale in order to explain him that I am the real content creator, but he didn't answer (it could be he didn't read my message, or just ignored me, etc.) So, I turned out that I didn't had any support on Steem blockchain, no one upvoted my posts and at the top of this I got downvotes by the whale. Because of this, I got disappointed, stop being active and I almost abandoned Steem blockchain ...
As I mentioned at the beginning of the post at that time I worked as a cryptocurrency analyst for a big brokerage company in Moscow, Russia. And a Steemian @yanipetkov (who was in Moscow at that time) told me that another Steemian @steemcafe would come to Moscow in June 2018 for FIFA 2018 World Cup. So, I met @steemcafe at the beginning of June 2018:
... and we had fun in Moscow for 4-5 days. He talked to me a lot about Steem Blockchain and it motivated me to start using it again. So, I came back to Steem blockchain. (I needed almost 3-4 months in order to increase my reputation from 23/22 to 30... So, it was quite a tough beginning. Keep in mind that some minnows nowadays reach the reputation of 40 or 45 just within 2 weeks if upvoted by Steemians).
Later, in July, during FIFA 2018 World Cup I went to Rostov-on-Don for a football game between Japan and Belgium. And in this southern Russian city I met @clixmoney:
And he invited me to the community of @dcooperation. So, I was slowly slowly getting more involved in the Steem blockchain.
In august 2018 I learnt about Steem Fest 3 in Kraków and I became very interested in it. So I decided to visit Steem Fest 3 ... and slowly slowly I was getting more and more active on Steem Blockchain.
In November 2018 I went to Kraków for the Steem Fest, and it was awesome!!! A picture of me and @ned (Ned Scott) at Steem Fest 3:
I met hundred of beautiful concurrency enthusiasts from all over the world! That was a massive event! I made a lot of friends there. And it was a game changer in my Steem Blockchain journey.
After Steem Fest I became very active on Steem Blockchain (mainly using @actifit and @dtube). I started to receive many upvotes and my reputation started to grow significantly! In December 2018 I got into Top 50 Dtubers' list.
In January 2019 the company I worked for as a cryptocurrency analyst closed business in Moscow, Russia. So I (and my collegues) remained without job ... That's why I became a very active on Steem Blockchain and I started to conduct on a daily basis a Cryptocurrency Market Overview for my DTube channel. (Actually for the brokerage company I worked at I used to conduct on a daily basis such kind of live-streaming videos about the currency and stock market from 2013 to January, 2019 and from 2017 to January, 2019. So, after remaining without job I decided to make something similar on DTube).
Yeah, I was getting constantly more and more active on Steem blockchain. I even visited the first ever @dtube.forum that took place in May, 2019 in Barcelona:
Also I hope I will be able to visit the next massive Steem event: @steemfest 4 in November in Bangkok! And, of course, I will visite @dtube.forum in 2020 in May in Hamburg as well!
So as you see now I am a very active Steemian, I have many friends from Steem blockchain from all over the world and I am really very happy about it! Thank you everyone!
To sum up, I would like to say that I had a tough beginning on Steem blockchain (being downvoted), but later I was able to convert this negative trend into the opposite direction and to became a very active Steemian. (i.e. for month of September, 2019 I on 16th position among the most active DTubers according to a video by @tanbay) and, in addition, I have made a lot of friends from all over the world!
So, fellows, thank you to every one of you for the great support! Together we can stay strong and build a global community! So, Steem on!
p.s. I gave an example of my Steem blockchain journey in order to show you how from a very difficult beginning you can convert it into opposite direction by working hard, being devoted and become successful enough (once again I reached the reputation of 70 ... but the most important thing is that I've made a lot of friends from all over the world).
I am explaining this, because nowadays cryptocurrency market is in a downtrend, prices are low, and I've recently seen that many Steemians have abandoned our ecosystems and others are writing posts about leaving very soon Steem blockchain. I will continue my journey on Steem Blockchain no matter what the STEEM price is (keep in mind, how many beautiful people you've met here! That's the greatest asset!)
Fellows, don't worry, just be patient and consistent, work hard, (of course, if you need, just have a rest) and in the long run together we will be able to stop the Bear Market and convert into a Bull market! So, Steem on!
Congratulations brother. Your enthusiasm and dedication towards Steem is amazing and you're an inspiration for many. Many more milestones to come.
