my good friend @chocolatescorpi introduced me to hive. This is my first post ever in peakD.
My beautiful boy Archi,he was orphaned, the rescuer didn't know what happened to his mum?
Hes happy and healthy on this beautiful property.[GUMBAYNGGIRR COUNTRY].
Im a release site for orphaned Eastern Grey KANGAROOS.
A group of Eastern Greys are called a MOB,they have complex social structures in the wild. They are beautiful, gentle, peaceful animals, endemic to AUSTRALIA.The mother carries her joey around in her pouch till around a year old, even when out of pouch, the baby will still follow mum around and play with the rest of the MOB.
The males need to know how to fight to defend the mob.Hence ARCHI practising his play kicks with TED.
Haaa that's such a great photo!
Welcome aboard to the wonderful world of #hive.
I look forward to seeing more of them and you and the treasures that you have to share with the world!
@tattoodjay I'd like you to meet the newest Hivean and a fellow Kiwi @yurpia.
Please help me welcome her aboard and share this gorgeous photo around the world so people can see just how precious these little guys are.
kiaora, thanks .
Isn't this a toy at Wally's Wildlife? They have a page on Facebook and I believe a TikTok profile with this thing being tossed around like a punching bag?
Hi there @aschatria no this is not a tor at Wallys' wildlife, WTF is Wally anyway?
@yurpia Yurpia is a licensed wildlife carer for WIRES in NSW and this is a teddy that has been hung up in the enclosure for the youngest orphaned joeys to play with and as they get older, they will play with the teddys to learn all kinds of things to help them be able to defend themselves when they are released into the wild.
And they even have smaller teddys in the manmade pouches that they do cuddle up to when they're sleeping, just like every other animals does.
Joeys or Kangaroos at any age are not pets and certainly not for entertainment purposes so I will definitely be checking out this wally guy.
I look forward to tagging you in the documentary when I have finished editing it, so you can see the real Australia and our animals.
Also @aschatria here was my post back on the 1st Dec with some of shots of Yurpia and the Joeys on her property in northern NSW https://peakd.com/hive-155530/@chocolatescorpi/a-whirlwind-and-wonderful-wednesday-walk-for-my-birthday-part-2-hive-155530
If I remember correctly, there are 2-3 stuffed teddys hanging around her property for the joeys too.
here is a peek into my LaCie SSD where you will see 2 thumbnails from my interviews of Yurpia with 2 teddys.
And if you don't believe me, here is a look into my LaCie SSD with the thumbnails from the interviews of Yurpia and 2 of the teddys.
I hope that helps you realise that same wonderful mission, but 2 different carers in 2 totally different locations.
AND it sounds like you didn't even bother reading the story in her post either!

hi,
To answer your question, kangaroos in captivity need stimulation just like they would in the wild.
ive raised Archi from 8 months old,hes about 2 and a 1/2 now.hes the Alpha male on the property im on.he is released and free to venture where he likes.
the teddy's so he can practise his play kicks to strengthen his back legs and when the time comes he may need to defend his place the mob.
these are VERY interesting complex animals,I invite you to watch the movie,
KANGAROO A LOVE HATE STORY, its free to watch on the net.thank you for your interest.
yurpia

This post and this newest hive member has nothing to do with wallys whatever so please remove this response.
THIS is the real owner of this post vhttps://www.facebook.com/yurpia.mccafferty
and @hivewatchers, what a great welcome for a new user- I have been on here for 2.5years now and have been trying to get Yurpia onboard since then and finally she's here to share her unique relationship as a licensed carer with WIRES in NSW and you show her how welcome she is with a response like this!
Poor form.
Really poor form.
Hello.
The screenshot in this post appears to come from the video published here:
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=989480328384084
This is the reason why we asked for the verification of the authorship.
Thankyou for looking our for plagerists and other lying, cheating bastards, but I can assure you, that this photo is no screen grab and its certainly not a screengrab off this video on Fb- seriously check out the grass that Archie- the Joey is standing on. It's completely different.
Again, this is Yurpia's fb page here https://www.facebook.com/yurpia.mccafferty/photos and here are some photos that I TOOK for the documentary that I am currently editing on her and the Joeys when I was up there in November. https://peakd.com/hive-155530/@chocolatescorpi/a-whirlwind-and-wonderful-wednesday-walk-for-my-birthday-part-2-hive-155530
So I really hope that this completely dispels any notion that she has plagarised from someone fb page and if not, I would be happy to show you more photos and the 4hours of raw footage I personally recorded of her and the Joeys- on a private platform.

So I really hope that this completely dispels any notion that she has plagarised from someone fb page and infact @hivewatcher here is a photo that I just took of my hand with my apple watch (and Kardia Band sensor) holding my LaCie SSD infront of my laptop with the LaCie open in the background on the computer showing all of the files plus a photo of my hand patting one of the joeys with todays time and date on the top of my computer.
Now if all of this evidence in conjunction with the screenshots of the ssd of 2 photos that I took of Yurpia and 2 teddys on her property don't convince you that she is not plagarising anyone's content on her first post ever to peakd, then I don't now what will.
Ok, thank you for explaining.
@yurpia
Could you please add the word Hive in this section of your Facebook profile so we can process the verification?
You can remove this mention, once we can see it.
Thank you
I am glad that you are here, but I'm also really freakin upset that I have to defend the single most honest person in the entire world. Someone that has been one of my bestest friends for 23years because some numbnut- without having the courtesy to read her post or actually look at the photo properly, assumed that it was plagarised.
And I have banged on and on to her over the past 2.5 years about how wonderful hive is and everyone in it and on her very first post, she gets this 'warm welcome'....
I will get her to add it in when I speak to her next.
