With around 1 billion monthly active users from around the World, WhatsApp has become one of the most important and popular mobile messaging application with so many people addicted to it. Surprisingly, its users are not just the teens and young adults, the addiction is observed equally among the middle aged and old folks. The application has taken over the World and is now the most common way among people to communicate with each other, because, they now don’t need to spend their money on text messages and long- distance calls. Now the whole families and friends circles are connected to each other on the same platform by having their own exclusive WhatsApp group. Surprisingly, even office colleagues have their own group on Whatsapp.  Another surprising feature is that people can contact you even when you are on vacation in some other country and have no international roaming. They can call you and leave a message and you will receive it as soon as you are connected to the internet.  The craze in everywhere! Star a message

If you are that sort of women who need to remind the other person that what he/she said on a particular day, at a particular time and at a particular second, this is the feature you are looking for. It allows you to highlight and pin a specific message so you can quickly refer back to it later.  


How to start a message? · 

Tap and hold the message you want to star.  · Star icon will appear on your screen, tap it. 

 How to unstart it? · 

Tap and hold the message · Tap on the star again 

How to view the list of starred message? ·

 Open WhatsApp. · Tap on the Menu Button · Tap on Starred messages. 

Mute a conversation

People are constantly sending messages on group and you are watching a movie or in a meeting? WhatsApp's has a mute feature that silent a chatty group conversation or a friend who doesn't get the hint that you're busy. 

Hide “Last Seen”

Don't want friends or random contacts to know when did you last check your Whatsapp? Open Settings > Account> Privacy > Last Seen. You can choose between these three options: Everyone, My contacts, Nobody. 

Use WhatsApp on a computer

Working on a desktop computer and don’t want to pick phone up again and again to check messages? WhatsApp provides a feature where you can use Whatsapp on your computer. All you need to do is to open whatsapp.com on your computer, and scan a QR code within your Whatsapp App.  

Turn your words Bold, Italic or Strikethrought

Sometimes you need to emphasis more on certain words and and shouty caps is of no help. Whatsapp allows to bold, italic or strikethrough your words whenever you want.  Bold: Add asterisk on either sides of the word or phrases Italic: Add underscore on either sides of the word or phrase Strikethrough: Add a tildes on either side of the word or phrase 

Mark chats as unread

Read a chat in rush and forgot to reply? This is the story of every busy person’s life. There is a way to mark important chats with dot to remind you to go back to it though. For iOS: Chats > Swipe left to right > Mark as Unread For Android: Long press chat > Open Menu > Mark as Unread
