Feed your self-esteem: Self-esteem is directly related to resilience, because to the extent that we add value to our abilities, we maintain an intrinsic motivation towards the development of our potential, we carry positive thinking, in that same measure, we will obtain the tools to face the unfortunate situations of the environment; otherwise we will be easy prey to adversity. Practice self-love, when we are able to love and love what surrounds us, we are adding value to our self-esteem.
Empower your mind to positive thoughts: The mind can play a trick on us if we do not control it, so, without being idealistic, we must always see the good that can leave us a negative experience. However, we must bear in mind that, to feel fear, anxiety, sadness or anger, is normal, remember, you are not a robot, you are human and you experience emotions, which is synonymous with mental health; just that you should not get hooked and allow these emotions to become a state of mind.
Think before acting: Identify the problem in a rational way, do not act with impulsiveness, count to 10 and, if necessary, up to 100, until the negative feeling that the emotion has caused you to lose intensity.
Make a life project: Having a clear horizon where we are going is very useful to become resilient, because the desire to develop and achieve our goals, will be greater than any adversity that comes our way.
Try to surround yourself with positive people, who bring you well-being and are a source of inspiration for your life project.
Determine your strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats: I recommend that you take paper and pencil and begin to list all your skills, abilities, achievements ...; also, identify the opportunities that your environment offers you: family, friends, work, society, among others. Also, you must recognize your weaknesses and analyze if you can transform them into strengths and you must not lose sight of the threats of the environment, which although you can not control, you can be prevented to minimize their impact. To make your situational analysis, you can take advantage of the SWOT matrix.
Do not oppose the changes. Always try to see the positive that can bring, before resist yourself, analyze the pros and cons to have tools that allow you to get more benefits than losses.
Keep in mind that everything happens and the problems are transitory. You can not prevent adverse situations from happening; What is in your hands is the way you respond to them; accept with strength the circumstances that you can not change and focus on finding specific solutions to those that depend on you.
Be grateful: Stop to value what you have, thank you for it daily and do not get involved in lamenting for not having achieved what you want, everything arrives in its moment and, meanwhile, you stop enjoying what life, generously, He has awarded you.
It can be inferred that the best way to consolidate resilience to achieve success in our lives is to develop self-confidence, valuing our abilities and converting "self-love" into a shield to protect ourselves and intelligently, take advantage of the opportunities that arise in medium of adversity.
