It's a really good initiative and I hope it catches on.
The thinking behind the re-steem function is very solid logic and you are right, the re-steem is the only thing which can potentially keep a post floating..

For starters I will direct incoming money to important stuff like a proper host for the bot.
Currently it's on my pc. If my internet or electricity stops, so does the bot.
