Kishore Biyani, the founder and owner of Future Group is known to make organised large-scale retail in India a common-place theme. And he has once again created an innovation which I am sure will not just be watched now by other leading retailers in the country but also soon be emulated!
While there are retail outlets going online, Kishore has really taken it to the next level. His group of companies go by Future Group. Future group runs a brand of retail outlets called BrandFactory. They house all the premium brands and you can say they are a Factory outlet for not one brand but multi-brands. And thus they could deliver amazingly low prices to the already high-price-sensitive Indian customer.
While sales of Brand Factory is something I have never calculated, today what BrandFactory did was out of my imagination and possibly one of the novel ways of getting customers.
BrandFactory is running a campaign now where you as the customer have to pay upfront to even "Enter" the retail store.. And then based on what you purchase, your amount will be refunded/adjusted in the purchase. Here are the details of the offer.
This concept of pre-paid was already there in the telecom sector but Kishore's BrandFactory has taken it into the Retail sector. Today is when the campaign goes live in all stores of BRandFactory across India.. And I know you are curious to know what happened?
People are lining up like crazy to make the upfront payment because of the compelling offer which BrandFactory has put up!! This is crazy, insane and wild.
I just got this update in Twitter and from multiple of my friends who are lining up at BrandFactory outlets all over India!!
Way to go Future Group! You are an amazing innovator!
Cheers!
PS: If you want to take part in the sale - here is where you can book your coupons and avoid the amazingly long queues.

@subhendu nice post
Thank you Stella.
Great find out, when you are using images, give proper credit to the source of the image, not to be considered plagiarized. If you have taken the images, then say that.
Yes, You are right Sanjeev. I would quote the image sources in the posts going forward. I am not sure how to edit a post hence leaving this as it is for now.
