Thank you so much for the mention! I think the challenge for a newbie is finding the best places to post on each one of your interests. For me, that's sharing my original music, talking about surf adventures, my pet cats, martial arts and fitness, etc... and then how to add tags so the right people find you.
I think it's also quite confusing trying to understand HP and HBD, and whether you should convert HBD to HP as much as possible to make your own vote on other people worth a bit more, compared to saving HBD...
We certainly agree with the challenges a newbie goes through at the beginning. For the communities, you can alsoo check out the OCD Communities Incubation Program. There are also some resources here: newbies-guide.
This will already depend on you as to which you find meaningful or beneficial. Either way is a great option. Some do both too; save some HBD and powerup the rest.
