RE: Atari ST at High Resolution (for the 1980s)

in #retro15 days ago

I was seriously considering an ST at some point. I ended up getting a second hand Amiga 500 and then a 1200. I had a Mac emulator on that. Fun times. I later spent a lot of time playing Wing Commander and Doom, some of it at work :)

We used to play Duke Nukem 3D death match on the work network :)

Did that too.

I think that was my peak 'gamer', LAN parties were the best but I never really was ever into games as much after that. 3D just didn't do it for me as much, and I have always preferred pick up and play rather than 'now after these sixteen hours of tutorial quests we start at level 1' type gameplay :)

We got away with a lot of gaming at one place. That was when I was still on Amiga. When Doom got ported I played that and played it more recently on Linux. I'm so out of touch with current games.

We got the recent xbox, my daughter had to spend an hour showing me how to parkour my character up walls on the jedi game. That was it for me!
