Referring to Thailand, the public immediately thinks of the country with the most thriving cinema industry in Asia.
A month ago, my friend invited me to watch the movie "The Promise" - this film belongs to the horror genre of Thai cinema. My favorite Thai actor are: '' Bee Namthip '' ^^
The movie was inspired by the abandoned Sathorn Unique building, an unfinished project - the living testimony of the Asian financial crisis of 1997. Stuck in the cold, between Bangkok, this building Rumored to be built on the ground of an ancient cemetery. Over two decades, Sathorn Unique is gradually associated with a series of bizarre and horrible real deaths.
In that context, The Promise is a story revolving around two close friends Boum and Ib, who are wealthy ladies .. When the financial crisis suddenly came, their families went bankrupt in only one night. Two girls became burdensome, even the thorns in the eyes of the parents. Boum and Ib are heartbroken, desperate and they commit suicide.
Ib suicide by gun,Boum panicked and recovered, running away from the building, leaving her best friend dead alone.
Twenty years later, Boum becomes a businessman, with a pretty daughter, Bell, who is about to turn 15. Boum is forced to use a building that her father left to take mortgage for loans. She and her daughter return to where Ib died.Boum did not expect to accidentally wake up Ib's ghost..
The causes of suicidal behavior of two close friends are also built quite reasonable.
By the time of 1997, the work used short documentaries and documentaries to recreate the atmosphere at that time. The secret of the past is inspired by The Promise from the beginning, not to the middle,The film shows the scary consequences of not fulfilling the promise.
I learned a bit about this haunted house.
Thailand's famous haunted house Sathorn Unique.
In Sathorn Unique, the bodies are also found in decomposing state. They are homeless people who live here. Many of the dead here have made people more frightened.
Can confirm, the film gives you the phobia, fear of psychology. However, the content of the film does not just revolve around the soul of Ib returning to avenge the betrayer but above all to elevate family affection, high friendship, intricate relationships and boundaries of human. The film has a great sense of sacred motherhood, the love of the mother Boum is willing to do all to save the daughter, filial piety of the daughter Bell is willing to sacrifice themselves for love mother. At the same time, it is friendship and promises,,,

Very emotional moment must have been when Boum came back to that place where they both promised to commit suiside. She had to live with it and I would be very interested how this story ends. Will the ghost of Ib eventually forgive?

Great post!
It sounds like very interesting thriller/horror movie based on real events, since the haunted house in Thailand's actualy exists. Boum must have been emotional when she returned where her friend Ib died. Actualy it sounds like it, but is this story based on real evens?
Nice review.
