Hello friends on steemit ^^ Recently, I watched a lot of movies when I was in school. Today I would like to comment on a movie called “12 Years a Slave.” I hope you enjoy this movie. If you have seen this movie, please comment below my post.❤️😁
“12 years a slave’” becoming a US film or talking about slavery in particular and humanity, human rights in general, issues still sore in the world at this time.
In the history of American cinema, there have been several films that dealt with slavery - something that was considered legitimate between the 17th and 19th centuries. From the classic as Gone With the Wind (1939) Two Oscar-nominated films, Lincoln and Django Unchained, have been featured on the subject.
2012, Steven Spielberg portrays the greatest white man in America - President Lincoln (Lincoln Film Reviewer), who resolutely abolishes slavery that is causing deep discord in American society of the time. there. 2013, the color director Steve Mcqueen is no less, making another film, not about a great black man, but a black man with his true story, with his responsibility for The history denounces the crimes of white people who give themselves the right to trample on the dignity of other races. 12 Years A Slave was born, Steve Mcqueen's talent was not inferior to Steven Spielberg, Chiwetel Ejiofor's acting ability was no less with Daniel Day-Lewis in Lincoln, the film was actually about crime and expression of the Negro.
The title tells us what the story is about. Solomon Northup is a freelance Negro
living in New York with his wife and two children, happy and full, educated and a violinist. Life is a mystery that we can not grasp the future or what will happen to us tomorrow. Solomon accepted to tour with a circus in Washington D.C. I did not expect from his fate completely changed. I wake up to be circus and forced to identify myself as someone with the name of Patt as a slave fleeing from Georgia. Solomon spent the next 12 years as a slave in many plantations, tortured, beaten, tortured like shovels. The survival of Solomon's existence in order to expect a future somewhere far away will come to help him live as he always thought "I want to live" (I want to live rather than merely survive. McQueen's has shown us the cruelty of man.. 🤐
History is a time-passing process that we do not need to think and talk about because it is irreversible. However, there are dark and foolish pasts that make even the longest journeys impossible. Slavery is so. Quentin Taratino has also set the scene for slavery to make films, but he does not put the true story of history that variant creativity to create a work of personal color director. And Steve McQueen, on the other hand, is so true to the extreme that he desires to be portrayed in a movie in honor a Negro of that era, showing everyone a dark, dark America. how many people hurt the spirit.Slavery turns people into objects, people, in particular black, into something possessed, when they are possessed they have no right even to the body and spirit, free mine. Squeeze exhausted for the owner on the field, buy fun for the owner whenever they want. White people, they always considered the people of color are lower and born cursed to become slaves to serve them. Solomon Northup, after reluctantly becoming a black slave sold, has gone through many different hands. To each of those owners, we see the typical face of the possessors. A boss William Ford (Benedict Cumberbatch) loves Solomon's talents, ready to defend and defend. However, in his mind, Solomon is still a black guy who can not be compared to the incompetent white guy. There was much resentment with Solomon. In order to prevent Solomon from being killed, he is transferred to Edwin Epps (Michael Fassbender). A landlord has a nefarious relationship with a female slave Patsey (Lupita Nyong'o), but is afraid of his wife, alcoholic and insane ... Each character is typified, deep enough to fully portray each character represents the society.
A dark world opens, individuals representing the grieving generation. Whites go through, touches, possesses Solomon, the blacks he meets, speaks, and shares the grief of loss of freedom, especially Patsey, a slave girl owned by Edwin Epps, whom he loved so well, was hated by Edwin's wife and heartbeat enough despite Patsey being the most productive man on the cotton field. Edwin's alcoholism, fear of wife, and mercurialism only made Patsey more miserable in his life. The darkness of the slave's life is portrayed to the extreme. We can not forget about the tragic role in the flow of life. They are not free, not even possessed of their body. Most will forever be slaves to death. Those who could be saved as Solomon are extremely rare, 12 years in that hell, helped Solomon write the classic memoir that director Steve McQueen and screenwriter John Ridley rely on to make the film. This. The scenes of the movie are expensive. Faces do not understand what happened to Solomon when he was kidnapped. Or classic footage, when Solomon was hanged with only his toes touching the ground to keep himself from dying, but around the seemingly indifferent blacks, still going to do his job, without protest Only accepting and accepting the torture is normal. The movie with filmmaker Sean Bobbitt who has always been polished in every way through films such as Shame (2011), The Place beyond the pines (2012) has made great footage, expressive, and impressive.
The movie is a full-blown melancholy song of the same intensity as a Negro ,has a vigorous vitality, has a soul filled with love for the family, and a clever head to sustain the Sober for yourself. Through a person submerged in the suffering of that racial distinction, a society is described, the nature of man is brought to light. The experience of human life has been touched and humanity is awakened vigorously. Maybe that's what Steve McQueen wants people to get through this movie.
I am most impressed with the detail: In a beautiful land there was a haunting scene when Solomon was hanged with rope on the empty land.
Around him were many other slaves, but they steadily passed by as if he were invisible and took care of the laundry, hoes.. Although Solomon had to flatten and stay on the ground, the only help he got was a sip from a maid. The rest are so scared that they do not dare to cut a rope for a person like him, or because such barbaric punishments are so familiar that there is no resistance? No matter what the answer is, it is enough for the audience to shiver and mercy for those who have no voice in the enslavement period. The scene was Steve McQueen turned a circuit in more than two minutes, leaving a deep impression can hardly forget for those who have seen the work.
Lupita Nyongo, it's hard to believe that this is the first movie role of a 1983-born girl.
She made the moviegoers touched. I cried when she awoke Solomon, she wanted Solomon to kill her. She does not want to live anymore because her life is so miserable. She seeks death as liberation.
The man who caused the anguish was the owner of Epps, a drunkard, suspicious and arrogant. Michael Fassbender performs so well that even the fans of this actor are also obsessed with the scene of Epps wrong Solomon whipping into Patsey's skinny body.Every time a whip is swung it is the heart of the audience to twist and sting even when the movie is over. Solomon's story ends after 12 years, but for the negro living in the United States, it is a history that lasted nearly 250 years until the civil war ended. 12 Years A Slave is not only one of the top-of-the-line 2013 work, but is also haunting and powerful, as it gives audiences a chagrin for those who carry fate like Solomon.
