Warrior (2011) - Bezil's Review

in #review5 years ago

Such a great movie!! I was really excited to see this movie in theatres after the initial release back in 2011, and this is because it starred one of my all time favorite actor, Tom Hardy which I strongly believe that any movie with him featured always seemed to be a great movie for me. And their is no exception for the movie ‘‘Warrior’’ either, as he delivered yet another impeccable performance. However, this is completely a different kinda role from what i've seen from a Hardy kinda movies as he always tried to challenge himself with different kinds of characters. In this movie, Hardy's character is that of an ex-marine and a mix martial arts fighter who's story was so tragic and he just did an amazing job at playing such an emotionally damaged character.

Review: Some stories are so tragic that believing it depends on a well acted characters, which is why ‘‘Warrior’’ is an undeniably powerful and moving film, carried by amazing actors and a good scenario despite its facilities. This is a movie that left me with a certain bitter taste. The ‘‘cage fighting’’ or ‘‘MMA’’ is a sport i must say the most barbaric. An ultra-violent environment that I admit best serves the film, a collective place of anger and release where some people with complex psychology deliver their past and present pain.

If you think ‘‘Mad Max’’ was Tom Hardy's best performance watch this. Hardy's performance in warrior is simply impeccable. This solidifies the fact that he'd always has potential star power since his role in inception. Although, this movie did not hit the box office with much power, but trust me if you haven't seen this movie, then you are simply missing out on what is one of Tom Hardy's most natural and mundane performances i have seen so far. The movie Is well filmed, wild and hard-hitting, to which i believe is so much more than an MMA movie, it is about life struggles and overcoming adversity. So, If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend this.
