A great movie that I periodically review, getting a lot of pleasure from it. I recently watched it again and I want to share my impressions with you. In the film, its creators-Director Paul Hunter and screenwriters Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris - managed to successfully combine the entire range of genres stated in it. It perfectly combines both fantasy and melodrama with action, successfully seasoned with excellent humor.

A significant role in creating the atmosphere of this film was played by the actors involved in the main roles. Chow Yun-Fat as a monk and Seann William Scott, who played the role of a very talented pickpocket Kara, especially stood out for their game and irresistible charisma, which did not prevent him from having a good soul and a cheerful disposition. Karel Roden - SS Strucker, who is obsessed with the idea of having eternal youth and unlimited power, also fully revealed the characteristic features of his negative character.

And other actors, including Jamie King, Victoria Smurfit, Marcus Jean Pirae, Mako and others, did a good job with their task.

I can't ignore the Russian actors who voiced the film's characters - Grigory Siyatvindu, Denis Bespalogo, Alena Ivchenko, Oleg Kutsenko and Larisa Nekipelova, who also did their best.

And, of course, I want to tell you a little about the plot of this wonderful film, so that you have an idea of what you will see when you watch it.

The plot is simple, but develops dynamically, capturing attention from the first frames of the film. The essence of it is that a certain monk who has been guarding an ancient scroll for 60 years, the possession of which gives almost unorganized power over the world and time, must pass it to the next Keeper. And he, oddly enough, turn out to be a petty thief, whom the monk will have to teach all the secrets of Eastern martial arts in a short time and prepare for the upcoming difficult mission. At the same time, an old enemy of the monk continues to chase the artifact - the same German officer who destroyed the monastery where the monk served during the war.

The film will appeal to fans of martial arts and fans of good humor, because it contains so many phrases that can be called masterpieces of oral art, where everyday wisdom, humor, and ancient morality are intertwined.

The film can be called a vacation, although it has a lot of instructive. Nevertheless, thanks to its invigorating atmosphere, its humor and intrigue, which persists until the very end, it sets the audience up for a positive and gives great pleasure.

Pleasant to you of viewing!

Thank you for your attention, see you soon!

Sincerely yours, @mrfantastis.
