"Painfully beautiful" is a great way of putting it. This film shook me. Incredible cinematography, directing, and acting. A true artistic high point for Scorsese. I find it amusing that his previous film was Wolf of Wall Street (a film that, for all it's polish and flash, I did not care for). Talk about stylistic opposites! Martin Scorsese is a master director, and I am beyond grateful that he has blessed humanity with this work of art.
