Dragonstone, It was Legen ... Wait for it ... Dary

Game of Thrones is back

Dragonstone brings Jon Snow and Sansa together, while Arya and Daenerys continue their individual missions.

After making us wait for more than a year (compared to previous seasons). Still, the wait has been worth it: The first episode of the world’s most famous TV series already looks a winner.

Warning, Spoilers ahead.

The season started exactly where it ended i.e. Arya slitting Walder Frey’s throat

It may have been more than a year since we last saw the characters, but it feels a little more than a day or two.

The episode opens with Arya striking a few more names off her murder-list, This felt the most brutal and satisfying kill in the show’s season premiere history. It reminded me of the Red Wedding where I was in shock and horror when almost half the Stark family was murdered (in season 3). According to me, what made the scene so powerful was not the element of shock but the deep, satisfying closure.

In King's Landing,
“It’s ours now, we just have to take it,” Cersei told Jaime.

What family? All our children are dead. And with enemies in every direction, how are we going to stay on top without any allies to help us? “We can’t win this war alone,” he said.

Then comes Euron Greyjoy. He attempts flirting with her and humiliating her loving brother have made him one of the most interesting characters. And the promise on which he leaves... maybe he plans to bring her the head of one of her enemies as a priceless gift as he mentioned .

Whatever that may be, it will be Legen...Wait for it ....Dary.

Jon wants to restore the peace to defend against the White Walkers. Sansa wants revenge. It was the kind of cold as she picked up from Cersei, and Sansa confirmed that:

“You almost sound as if you admire her,” Jon said.

“I learned a great deal from her,” Sansa replied.

Daenerys finally lands in Dragonstone. The last segment offers no dialogues other than ‘Shall we begin?’

The episode tries to build curiosity, give new ambitions to the characters. The sole purpose of the premier episode was to get us excited about what lies ahead.

What lies ahead:
1.Jon will have to go to Dragonstone for dragonglass.
2.Euron should impress Cersei with something known as the priceless gift.
3.Arya has to murder Cersei.
4.Bran has to find his way to Jon.
and last but not least Dany has to take over Westeros.
The teams are all in position and the episode does a fantastic job of getting us there.

Thanks for reading. I post fitness stuff, Upvote and follow if you like it. And Feel free to comment.

The whole story of Arya is what I wanted the Assassin's Creed movie to be. That movie was so awful.

I loved this first episode of the new season.

I especially loved the dialogue and musical score as always. I agree that this episode was all about the set up.
