Released in July 2017, Aho Girl, based on the eponymous manga of Hiroyuki, poses as the leader of the crazy animators of this Summer 2017.

Type: Shonen, Comedy / Romance, School Life / Slice of Life

Synopsis:

We follow the daily life of Hanabatake Yoshiko, a young high school student, energetic, stunned and also very stupid who has the mania to put in situations more farfeluous than the others.
She spends her days with her childhood friend, Akutsu Akuru, for whom she claims her love at all ends of the field, to the utmost despair of it

REVIEW:

A totally idiotic heroine who loves bananas, a studious childhood friend constantly annoyed by the behavior of her dumb neighbor and a naive and innocent classmate forced to follow her friend's extravagancies: this is how to summarize, basically, the beginnings from Aho Girl!

Totally delusional situations. This anime never takes itself seriously, and it does good!
Hanabatake Yoshiko has absolutely no ounce of common sense or maturity, and this gives rise to totally unimaginable vicissitudes and misunderstandings, in which she takes great pains to train her close or freshly disembarked entourage who can only endure.

The unpredictability is what makes the different comic sequences because the humor, it, is rather absurd and drawn by the hair which can seem a little redundant if one is not very fan of the comic of repetition or simply of the Yoshiko's very advanced stupidity which could very well tire.
But luckily the characters who gravitate around the heroine-sometimes against their will-act themselves irrationally and far-fetched by contact with the unlimited frivolity of this hero, the true genius of the pantry.

The fact that Yoshiko is perfectly aware of her stupidity and the lively very well made of her an "idiot" different from what we are used to seeing. As she does not take her head and is only concerned with playing, eating bananas - to which she worships - and sleeping, her casual side assumed and carefree to the possible has the gift of exasperating those who rub shoulders with her, is what becomes comic.

Especially when confronted, for example, with young children who have absolutely no reaction whatsoever, or when her neighbor and childhood friend, Akkun as she calls him, passes her time to try to put her to work and inflict blows on her as she goes too far (like wanting to show her panties to thank him).

Moreover, the work of the doubles and doubles of the anime is more than effective to convey the madness and humor completely wacky which passes enormously by the exclamations and tones of unusual voices of the characters.
The opening itself sets the tone on a cheerful and absurd rhythm with eccentric lyrics and a static setting where only the characters change - with each new episode.
The atmosphere of the anime puts in a good mood and that is what makes the whole pleasant despite the small flaws.

Finally the episodes are all anecdotes of the life of Yoshiko divided into several independent parts quite short (in the image of small gags characteristic of 4-koma mangas), which means that they last about 12 minutes, just enough not to not make the stories too long.
Moreover, the sequences follow one another without any real logical sequence, which confers an episodic character on the anime.
Ideal for watching episodes at any time and being able to interrupt without having to remember the beginnings when you resume later.

The animated series Aho Girl is a good kid, it goes pretty well when you try to distract yourself with something short, funny and light. Its format is adapted to the rhythm of the original manga and even if it is not the anime of the season, it entertains properly.

NOTE : 7/10
