It's been a while since I've done a book review, but I'm back with a look at Alexis Daimon, A Slave In Space, a piece of science-fiction erotica I got on Smashwords.
In the future, Alexis Daimon takes a spill and wakes up in the captivity of white slave traders. However, she occasionally wakes up in a hospital where she is told the entertainment chip in her head is malfunctioning. Alexis is torn between the two versions of reality, and tries to piece together what is happening.
On one hand, the slave experience is fulfilling her darkest fantasies, even if the scenario isn't 100% consensual. On the other, the malfunctioning chip seems much more believable to her.
Unfortunately, this is another case of a book being an unadvertised Part One of a series, meaning it ends without really resolving anything. I did manage to locate the author on Goodreads, and it looks like a Part Two exists, albeit only on Amazon.
The erotic scenes themselves are decently set up, albeit somewhat repetitive. In a book this short, that can be problematic. On the flip side, if bondage with orgasm denial is your thing, then you're set.
I'm not sure if I'm going to bother reading Part Two or not. There isn't any indicator of how many parts this series will encompass, and I didn't love the story enough to risk ending up with another cliffhanger.
If you're curious, however, the book is available on Smashwords.
