Stop Raping Reward Pool !!
We have seen a big fight between two users on raping the reward pool. They have their own allegations on one another and to everyone's surprise they both were raping it and are continuously raping it till now. Yesterday I came across few posts made my some steemians and which showed everything clearly that how they are raping it. They are getting a total of atleast 10% of the reward pool. This is a very big sum. Infact most of the users are getting 0.01$ value from the reward pool, Yeah 0.01$ value !!
Their greediness is making steem hard to work on. New users after writing few posts here are abandoning the platform. They are not getting what they deserve. If this will continue in the same manner then these users will be the only users here. And the price of the steem will become zero. No one will want to invest in such platform where they will not get any value.
The main problem that I found is the "Delegated proof of stake" mechanism which is making rich richer and poor poorer. But I know this mechanism will never change. So instead of commenting on this we can discuss about the ways by which we can curb such corrupt persons so that they can never rape reward pool again. So that this platform will grow on day to day basis. So that the price of steem will reach moon.
I am welcoming healthy discussion here, so please suggest the potential ways by which we can stop reward pool raping & by which we can make it the best platform to share our thoughts, & which will be users friendly, which welcomes everyone whether he is poor or rich.
People at first need to look positively at voting bots. Minnows are the biggest reward pool rapists by using bots. There is a real vote bot inflation. Then come the so called whales with their upvote-for-upvote and otehr stuff.
I decided to upvote mainly those who earned nothing on their posts and support the newcomers. Everyone should do that. Us newbies need to split up from those with big power and vote only fellow minnows/redfish.

I think we have to form some alliance which help minnows in earning a decent amount from the reward pool.
We can make slabs in our alliance based on reputation score or something else. It's the duty of upper slab to vote the lower slab users. Suppose we have 4 slabs, users of 2nd slab will vote for 1st slabs, users of 3rd will vote for 2nd and users of 4th slab will vote for 3rd and at the end users of 1st slab will vote for 4th slab.
In such a way we can help everyone and this alliance will also work for the rapists that are continuously raping. All slabs of alliance will start down voting them to curb these bastards.
I don't know how many members will support it, I don't know whether we can implement it or we can reach to the goals but we can start such thing to curb the bastards from the system.
This is why a lot of people argue that steemit isnt as decentralized as it should be. Most of the power is owned by a small group of people, and not all of them use it to help the platform. Again the best we can do as users is to flag people abusing the system. I'd love to hear if there is another solution to this problem.

Yeah we can flag them but not as on individual basis. They have multiple numbers of accounts with lots of steem power in them. If you tried such thing then it will destroy your account totally.

I’m fairly new to this platform and definitely do not fully understand the science behind steem it. But one thing i feel we can all do is try to spread a little love and positivity to people and a daily basis. If we all do our part we can make this the best social media platform which i already think it is.

Spreading positivity is totally a different thing you can do. You know what users who are writing quality contents are not getting anything from here. They are just working as slaves of steemit. Steemit is getting traction because of these users and finally what they are receiving ??!! Nothing!! From here. Few users who are raping reward pool are getting most of the amount from the reward pool.
So what about the positivity, what about the hard work, what about the quality work you are doing for steemit...
Maybe the people just need more followers to get noticed more? One thing im learning about steemit is you really got to put in some work to start gaining traction. Y I fairly just discovered minnowbooster and i fell its a great part of the ecosystem. But im with you i would love to see more people leave facebook, cause i truly fell facebook is making the world a shitty place.
Followers will help you for sure, but the more it depends on the steem power an account have that is upvoting a post. I want to give an example which will help you in understanding about steem rewards.
There are two cases,
Now both of them votes on two different posts.
Post on which 1st group voted will get more reward from reward pool (This is the case for which I am talking in my post. bots or fake accounts with more steem power upvoting a certain account on a continuous manner, thus helping the account owner to earn more or helping in raping the reward pool)
Post on which 2nd group voted will get less amount as they have very less steem power.
Ok kinda see what your saying. I’ll follow up on this and see what you come up with , and observe this convo some more. This is concerning but interesting as well. Keep up the good fight and steem on!
