Respectfully disagree. I've complained a ton about this platform so I'm right there with you, but this platform still has a lot to offer.

When competition does arrive, how is it going to be better than Steem? Not only that, how will said competition stop Steem from incorporating the attributes that make it better than Steem?
People are garbage, mob justice in garbage, but how is that going to suddenly change on a different platform?
If bots are the problem, why is no one fighting against them? There is a serious lack of innovation here. From my perspective, it's not going to be that difficult to eventually negate the damage that bid bots and shilling up post value are doing. You simply have to be more creative with how posts are ordered instead of relying on a 100% stake weighted order.
Last but not least, if you are determined that Steem will fail you shouldn't be milking it until it dies. You should power down and simply leave. Openly stating that you're going to be part of the problem makes it look like @berniesanders was right all along. I'm a spectator here so I'm a bit out of the loop, but from what I've seen, there's evidence to make me believe that both @doodlebear and @berniesanders are right about each other. Their opinions aren't exactly mutually exclusive.

Deswegen wird es bei einem EOS Steem 2.0 nicht anders aussehen.
Was für mich aber bleibt, ist die Erkenntnis, dass man mit dem richtigen Nischen-Content auch die richtigen Leute anzieht und sich bedeutungsvolle Verbindungen bilden - über die Plattform hinaus - mehr, als ich in den letzten Jahren auf FB gemacht habe. Ich glaube übrigens nicht, dass man die Wale bekämpfen, dafür aber aushungern kann, ihnen die Aufmerksamkeit entziehen und damit vergeht ihnen der Spaß.
Der Punkt ist einfach, dass Leute wie der Psycho eigentlich völlig unbedeutend sind - er ist ja all das was er über dich sagt. Das was es allerdings problematisch macht, sind die ganzen Betas - eigentlich trifft es "Arschkriecher" besser - die sich anbiedern wollen, und gleich an zweiter Stelle folgt die Kategorie der "Idioten", die es einfach nicht sehen.
Gefolgt von den "Schissern" (zu denen ich mich zum Teil zähle).
Wenn man so will, werden diese 3 Kategorien Steemit zerstören und nicht der Psycho.
Aber ich geb dir Recht - das Resultat wird über kurz oder lang das selbe sein, wenn sich nicht bald was an den 3 Kategorien ändert...
Alles Gute und es freut mich, dass du zu einen der wenigen Usern gezählt hast, der in keine der Kategorien passt!
Ja, ich fürchte es ist unausweichlich, weil solange es solche Menschen mit einer Gier nach Macht gepaart mit psychischen Störungen gibt, werden die jedes System ausnutzen so gut es geht. Das ist halt das Problem, wenn Arschlöcher Geld haben und zuviel Zeit. Das einzig Spannende an der Sache ist eigentlich nur, ob die 99% der Anderen, die 1% Arschlöcher ausgleichen können. Das ist das eigentliche Experiment hier.

the cabal will try to take all good things and turn them into good things for them and the rest can go fuck themselves, is steemit also infected... i see a lot of garbage posts getting high results, bots are the bad thing because people will go and watch the post they vote for.... a sad conclusion.... to bad steemit to bad......!!
The solution is possibly a random draft of peers for witness voting purposes. If a person who is drafted avoids voting then they get docked reputation. Ultimately the voters would have the choice to ban a user or to keep/block as a witness. Bot verification would be needed. The voting system could be activated once enough flags get posted on a certain user in a set period of time.
Bots are the problem so your solution is to use bots. Solid logic.
The problem is fucked up fundamentals of the system. The solution is to milk it for all long as you can before it dies.
You use bots @danpaulson; therefore, you are also culpable.
I wonder how much of your 61 rep was 'earned' by bid bots.
