Why does everyone hate Ripple XRP?

in #ripple7 years ago (edited)

Since I got into buying crypto, I've noticed that most people in the community have a pretty strong stance on Ripple. They're either behind it or they hate it. I came into the game when Ripple was sitting at .24 USD (I know I should be thinking satoshis), they told me "don't touch it" and now it rose right up to $1USD before dropping back to around .90 USD. Even in rising over 4X , all I would hear is "about to sell now", "probably going to sell soon", etc. With Ripple being a bank backed blockchain solution for global payments, why would everyone bet against it? What is so unreasonable about Ripple and a possible rise to much higher price?

Also.....Should I sell?

Its because Ripple is different from any other cryptocurrency in the market. It is a closed blockchain. Ripple is a blockchain mainly for banks. They have majority of the control over the XRP.

But I believe they have great potential and is expected to rise above US$5 in the next year!

I didnt realize it was a closed blockchain, nor that they control the majority of the coins in circulation.

Thank You!! Fingers crossed!
