"Ripple (XRP) is the best investment of all the currencies. Don't get me wrong, I own about a dozen currencies at this point in time, but after five years of researching the various options, I see XRP as having the best chance of growth, and I'll tell you why:
With most of these currencies, the price increases only because you and I decide to buy. However, with XRP, up until now, most of the price increase occurred for this same reason, but the big difference with XRP as an investment for long term growth is that XRP will eventually grow once the banks and market makers start using the currency for cross-border payments. So even if you and I stop buying and simply hold our XRP, the marketcap for XRP will increase (and it should increase exponentially) in the coming years. The
first step for Ripple was to increase XRP liquidity so that XRP could be used for cross-border payments in mass amounts (banks can't use a currency to transfer 10 million dollars if the currency only has a marketcap of a million dollars) - Ripple succeeded, but this number needs to keep going up in order to scale to the level of Swift and their 11,000 banks. The next step was to get banks running Ripples software - again they succeeded and are continuing to do so. Japan has formed a consortium around Ripple and has even written a rule book for other banks to use as guidelines. Today, Ripple has just under 100 banks signed on, many of which will transit from trial mode to live mode later this year (which is just around the corner now).
Ripple has 200 employee's, some poached from Swift, and many poached from the banking sector. It also has some of the best software Engineers money can buy. Ripple is on a hiring spree at the moment, which reflects amazing growth moving forward.
Speaking of money, Ripple is in a unique position. They have access to billions of dollars but have agreed to lock the majority of those funds up in a smart contract. Brad Garlinhouse (CEO) stated recently that Ripple will be cash flow positive by years end. He also stated that Ripple does not need to sell XRP in order to operate day to day business. What other company on earth has access to this type of money (okay, maybe Apple).
Ripple has everything that they need to succeed at their fingertips. If you are new to the crypto world, research Ripple for one week. Keep in mind that there is a side chain of people who hate Ripple due to the fact that Ripple is working with the banks instead of against the banks. This goes against crypto etiquette. If you think that banks are going to disappear within the next five years, then you should avoid buying XRP. BUT, if you believe that banks are here to stay, at least for the next 20 years or so, then XRP is the investment of a lifetime.
This is not investment advice. I own XRP because I believe that it is going to bring the banking industry into the 21st century. Do your own research and come to our own conclusions!"
