Open Minds.
When yer riding down that road.
The rhythm of the Harley,
Purring the bass to the tune in your head.
You look in the mirror.
To see the devil riding up your ass.
Just look at the sunset.
Fart in his face.
And take off, like ye....
That was a nice catch on Epic yesterday. 252 cards all Epic.
You might be wondering where I am going with this project of sorts. I do myself. A constant flow of thoughts on what could use a nudge, what to build toward. How diverse should the building be.
At some point common cards will be purchased again. The biggest problem cards is there is abundance of a few at the cheapest level. The result is we end up just buying the cards getting released from packs. We are still getting some of those too in epic cards.
The Death Deck is building up. Hey now there is a thought. Maybe those cards only become available through a mission for 2 months a year around Halloween. Kinda suits the theme of the graveyard. It also means the demand for the mission is more likely to be there when it comes around. It would overlap with the Event missions. Why I suggested a 2 month period for the mission. (More work for ye haha).
While the graveyard grows the card deck. It is also growing some HP. This HP is voting to RS posts. In an ironic way. The graveyard is paying for the cards.
The pipe dream is to get a studio traveling Hive artists can use if in Ireland. Along side that cheaper bed to sleep in than you would get elsewhere.
While I build up to cover those costs. What can we do to grow so we can do more for the game. Ultimately. Buying the cards will not be enough. It is just a place to start. Idea's have come from other places since the start. That have helped improve on what we do.
I am thinking of hosting RS contests. How do I do that and avoid the use of cards as prizes?
Not using cards is a preference. Removes any observer misinterpretations.
I could probably offer wheel spins.
If I had wheel spins. What could win a wheel spin?
SBI are costly and unless handing them out at 10 to a person each time. They have little effect on a regular blogger rewards. They are a nice welcome gift though to newbies.
With a wheel spin, common cards would be fodder.
Using cards as prizes. Cards would be provided by thehive and COLT token. Not by the gamesupport account.
The wheel I am thinking of is probably a wheel too big.
Ratios.
Common luck cards with 1 will be 2 for every fan 1. You can count all common cards regardless of luck values. There will be two luck for each fan card. With 300 cards on a wheel. 100 wold be common fan cards. a 1 in 3 chance of winning a common card.
That would be the first wheel. Toying with the idea of adding a level up to a common wheel. This would give a spin on a higher value wheel spin. Cards here would be rare or better.
The same ratios would apply. I would work in to those ratios Epic and Legend cards too. Much less chance of winning those.
The common wheel spin would be for little things like attending a show. Voting support to posts. Basically any positive general interaction with the promotion.
Hopefully I will be able to begin testing this promotion within a week. Things not going off track.
The claim for today just came in. Heading off to write tomorrows post for Three tunes TuNesday.
Concept.
The concept is three easy steps.
- Build a generator.
- Fuel it.
- Let it run.
How you view or interpret what those three things mean, may differ from mine. That's the magic.
This project is acting as a proof of concept. Generator built fueled and running.
On a small scale it shows the power of people working together to improve things for everyone. Regardless of social standing. The benefits are equal to everyone. The equity is equal to input, the effort you put in, is the reward you get. (With random luck on cards selection).
Scale it up. Providing a demand for HBD and HIVE.
