Roller Coaster Poster...
Let's rock this boat.
There are. No there may be more than just 3. But there are two key features to the Rising Star game. The cards, the music and the economy of the game.
As far as the music in game and the ability to purchase it. I do not know much about music. I gave put some thought to the game. How it works, how I can get the best from it and so on. I am sure all players have done the same. We do not all have the same priorities. This adds to the variance in the game.
The music, the card or the tokens. A combination of two or three would be the main reasons people play the game.
For me it is strategy. If the strategy works I will do okay. If not, the things I have done will have helped others along their way in some part. Well that's the hope.
Which of those holds the greatest attraction to a wider range of audience? I think none. There is an inclusion of another aspect. Let us not forget time then. Time can be an important aspect to put in a pie chart.
I wonder if one of you more popular characters would host a DPoll on that. Maybe two or three of you. It might reach different audiences and new potential players too. We could then average out the vote to each from each poll.
I like them all equally. I see the integrated, essential role each can play. Or at least I think I see it different to the general reader.
Shure what I think could be a load of whoo haa anyway.
Let's Rock Rising Star.
Disclaimer before I rip the game apart.
I think Risingstargame can become the corner stone of gaming for the chain at least. The same for music. Artists on chain will use the game to release their music to an audience. The global audience in game could viral their tune in the future. That is just one side road I can see happening. Very few reasons why it cannot. Anything you read from here on out is unscripted and if you read any negative in it. You read that part wrong, or a greater chance I was not clear enough.
I have probably gained more from the game Rising Star than anyone else who plays the game. That does not mean income.
Probably easier to make this post a 10 part series than a quick one.
First thing. The Card.
Each card originate as 1 of 3. A pack of cards has a cost of X.
(Yes I know 10K BIT and less with buying loads).
There is also a variance here on the value of x per card. Rarity and print count. Additionally the stats each card hold can increase the chaos to any calculation. What I would like to try and find out is.
Can we?
As a group discussion, come to the value we would like the cheapest card to have in a USD value. Maybe use the English Pound. Any card is worth 0.01p
So that would be all the fodder type cards and things. The cards no one seems to want. But they can get a penny for them.
If we agreed that value of 0.01P per unlucky card. Could we set the value of a pack of cards from that value?
These are questions best answered by the players here now. Those who have a long term plan for their game have a greater interest in thinking about these values.
Should the value of a card increase automatically when it goes out of print?
This obviously is a "what would we like" question and a common card at £1 would be great. Be practical.
If we could do that We would also have to set a guide for all other cards. Rare, Epic, Legend, Specials Events. Crafted. New types upcoming.
Is it even a task worth to talk about. How much should you get for the card you have. I have met many the vulture out there. Or are they canaries that just do things different.
My view the trade of cards for STARBITS or other tokens is a good thing. If I want to trade my cards for COLT only. I should be allowed to do so. I do not think any effort to prevent such things should ever go in place.
I just wonder. Like with a Match Attack card. A baseball or Hockey basketball or any other ball card. You can expect to get a penny for it.
Card Pricing.
When thinking about pricing of cards.
The cost of 3 cards. 1 rare 2 common.
This cost is currently worked in STARBITS.
Each card has a cost of 333 STARBITS.
For the most part a common card should not exceed 333 STARBITS. They are in the rarity index the fodder. The lowest of the fodder has a value of not much more than an additional card.
For the most part. More so with cards getting released. The total cost of buying those cards should be less than 10,000 SB.
A rare card and 2 common should maybe at best return a max of 2-4K STARBITS.
On The occasion of 2 rare, might reach 5k Until the limit print is getting close or reached. You exceed that 10,000 when an Epic is found or a Legend. They are the value cards of the game.
I just base the above on opening packs of cards in RL. The money back on a pack is not there. Unless you HODL the right one for the right time with the right person.
The advantage your cards have here. Is they stay mint. From 0.01p £0.01p for the cheapest or bundle of the cheapest to what would a Legendary Fan be in comparison?
Music in game.
Not a music critic here. I am thinking I will go through the list of tunes there and buy them all one by one. Then I see something else and I think I can later.
Not a big person with music and knowledge of it. I like the songs I like not the artist. For the most part that is anyways. Many of the genre are lost on me.
For anyone who has a complaint about the game. (Except me). I have a song for ye.
This be you if the vanished tomorrow.
Anything I say from here on about music will just take you outer space. I don't have those words or ability yet. But I have the spot.
In a general term. Ah there I have ye by the ,,, I always have an opinion. For the music. I would like to see the artists supported. Saying that not for just anything they record.
I like the idea of bringing about an artists agreement. That should a time come when a song from the community can be played at other media outlets for this to be able to happen.
Maybe we have a second link for media to pay a bit more than the standard for a broadcasting right.
The ability in the future to have the music also listed on sites outside of the game. This might end up being something simple like a site linked to one of the markets or all. This would not be the function of the site. Just a part of the site. External of the blockchain on something and linked for other actions. Something I would like to do from a personal site.
Then I also think about supporting by means of recoding items needed to do so. though I have no idea what they are. If this can be done along side it can be a range of instruments.
The Tokens.
Ha, The dreaded zone. The abyss that no one can ever find happiness in.
Start with there is nothing wrong with the game.
I am thinking in the future there are going to be things that happen that change others things and we need to adapt. In the past some changes have been minor alterations to the token in some way. Not complaining it got us (me) here.
STARPRO.
I have opinion I am undecided about. Because of the SP this type of theological economy can be brought about. I know it is done in other places I can not quote. Many games, not on hive. And media sites. They are all just different version of the Hive blockchain.
STARBITS.
Now that token is ripe to be a victim. Can we do enough to overcome the overuse of a faucet. Maybe not? But that is not what I was thinking.
So.
If we stopped the withdrawal of STARBITS SB from the game.
This still leaves the add option.
This still leaves the promotor to work.
This still leaves the market place Tribaldex to exchange.
The only thing to change would be the ability to remove STARBITS from the game.
SP can still be withdrawn.
Ignore the uproar.
What would happen.
By what would happen I am asking how would people game change. Stop playing not an option :P
The options to use the SB in game has increased, some restrictions on function have been removed.
Greater use of the token in game is available. Originally, sell cards or SB was the only method for players who might need some liquid to gain some.
There have been many advances in the game since then. Something like RS-HF-306.1a.
There will be changes in the future too. If not we are standing still.
Card packs or SP. SP opens doors to other levels of play.
Players can still play the missions.
Players can still earn SB.
I can hear the tears yelling at me. SB will try up on the market ye feckin eejit if no one can withdraw. Well ain't I the feckin eejit for not realising that until now.
This SB has three options, To build up for later use. To use on cards or for SP. The value of which is to the individual eye.
All tokens in game. Earned or deposited must be used in game. In game transfer of SB not allowed, unless by purchase of a card.
For the market. Not all SB earned will go to SP or Cards from the game (packs).
Some will go to players.
The SB the games takes in from the amount released would be interesting to see the average of.
The game will list the SB tokens on the market at a set rate of those returned to the game. Should the trade not happen. There is not point to the game releasing more tokens to the market. In an instance like this. The game would take positive action and begin a second line of purchase at 1 decimal higher. This will ensure more tokens are available than the previous day if needed. Only 10 or 20 % of the original amount should be added. Should the demand exceed the initial outlay on a daily basis. The amount issued per day will be adjusted to meet demand over a period of days.
That just popped in to my head, Had to get it back out.

Some interesting thought experiments there!
We have discussed many of these things over the years.
One was creating an audio player people can embed on their sites (just a hard one to get out to the masses without someone else to dedicate themselves to it). Promoting anything to do with independent music IS HARD AND VERY VERY TIME CONSUMING!
I don't think making SB in game only would work for the free to play players I have always said need to be catered for. Many will not want to use Music Promoter and they should be allowed to farm SB to sell if it is helping put some food on the table.
It could help the SB price long term however my head explodes trying to think about all the ramifications!
