The last proper holiday that I had before covid was an amazing 16 day-long roadtrip in the US together with a friend of mine. Amazing as it was, it only left us hungry for another trip, one more focused on exploring the nature of the mid-west, which we drove through but didn't have a lot of time to fully explore last time.
So here is our complete plan for our next trip in only a couple of weeks from now! I would love to hear from you guys who live in, or have visited, any of these places what you would recommend seeing, or if there are sights along the way that are worth stopping by.

I sure as hell am looking forward to this trip a lot! The last time was one of my few holidays ever where I've truly managed to disconnect and simply enjoy myself in the present moment (one of the other few instances being my recent action week in the Alps. This trip, which is a full week longer than our previous one which lasted 16 days, should offer plenty of time for that!
So what do you think? Are these places the types of destinations you like to visit? Or what else would you have liked to go by on the way? Would love to hear your suggestions in the comments!
Consider going to 7 falls near Colorado Springs it's worth seeing.
When in Grand Teton area stop at Jackson WY they have a western show at 6.00 pm in the town center that is beautiful then u can have a beer at Million Dollar Cowboy Bar - very cool place
Thanks a lot for the recommendation! We will be going through Jackson on our way, the western show could be fun, as we should have plenty of time in the evening that day.
When driving try to use scenic byways - much interesting then highways.
You can use this website to find some

That's a great resource! Thanks!
I'm glad i could help
There is no phone service anywhere in Yellowstone but it works in the Tetons. It is good idea to download offline maps into the phone.
You can get America the Beautiful pass for $80 it gets you to all the national parks for a year
Looks like a hell of a trip man. I'm from the states, and I haven't even been to most those places. The canyon and parks are def on my list though. My bro did a similar trip last year and brought back some incredible pictures. Safe travels and have a blast.
Thanks! I can't wait! I've been to some of the places we're heading to before (parts of Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada), but never with this much time dedicated to exploring the natural parks and scenic places.
I'll make sure to add a lot more incredible pictures during and after the trip ;)
Never been to the US before but these pics make me want to visit there at least once in my lifetime. Hopefully soon. :)) Enjoy your trip mate. Cheers!
You must be a huge fan of Tacos because that's the only food pic there in the lot. I love them too. ❤️🌮
The nature in states such as Colorado, Utah and Arizona is simply the most beautiful in the world. I've loved driving through those states in the past and can't wait to have more time to explore them fully!
That is one hell of an awesome road trip you have planned and if your pics from your last one are anything to go by, well, I think your destinations are solid choices. I was quite awe-struck. Spectacular. Have a wonderful and safe trip and having the time to disconnect and detach does wonders for the body, soul and mind. Enjoy it!
Should be awesome indeed! Stay tuned for more updates and more pictures😉
You know the more I keep seeing of the north west the more I fall in love with it. Need to plan a trip out there and explore it first hand and potentially grab up a plot of land.
What parts of the northwest are you thinking of?
Our eyes were mostly set on Colorado, Utah, and Yellowstone/Grand Teton in Wyoming, but from our past experiences, we also know that the time spent just driving through the places is often the most enjoyable.
Where would you like to go yourself?
Wow - that looks like one heck of a trip. And fair play, you've put in the research and planning - it'll be spectacular !
I think so too! Planning was half the fun, as the pandemic gave so much time and reason to look at future places to go and planning the next trip became a form of escape.
Can't wait to share more from the trip once it gets started!
The saying "Go west young man" which has been attributed to Horace Greely (though he claims to have never said it) seems appropriate here. The furthest west I've been was Chicago when I served in the Navy.
If you decide to visit the Four Corners Monument which is the only place in America where four states are said to be intersect, check out this page for the latest on whether that's the actual location where those legendary lines cross. The lands beyond that storied city are on my wish list as that's some beautiful country out there. You picked a nice little corner of America to visit!

I forgot to add that point and the picture, but it is in our plans😉.
Thanks for adding it as a suggestion though!
The Yellowstone area had some major flooding not long ago. Roads have probably been re-opened by now, but check ahead.
And have a blast!
That's good to know! Thanks!
I did a US road trip in 2017. An amazing experience. So much diversity, and beauty... Congraats!
That's cool! Where did you go?
I know, right? It's like driving through 2-4 different continents in one trip.
Dude, too much. :D
Roads can be slow sometimes, leave some space to take a breath. You fly like a chipping stone.
Hahah! That's a good point. When planning, it's easy to get overexcited and add too much. That's why we only have relatively short distances of driving in a day compared to what's "possible". 22 days is also a lot, so I think we'll be fine. After all, we only had 16 days the last time to cover 6 states and still had a blast.
Oh my, it looks exciting! I could only imagine how this will turn out! I'm excited for you, @fredrikaa. Have the greatest time of your life. ☺️
Thanks! Im sure it will be great😊
Sounds great! Enjoy!
Thanks! Should be a blast 😎
Wow this looks like an adventure
Instead of going through flight for some hours .
It's really will be a fun experience, might want to try out if given the chance to although it might be hectic too 😉
