Rock Classics goes England
Pink Floyd are for sure Rock Heros - they have been Top Stars before my time - way before the shit young people listen to now lol! There are only a few Rock Bands in the world that HAVE to be part of my Rock Classics series. Founded in the late 1960ies in London they achieved international success with their progressive and psychedelic music. Most successful albums have been "The Dark Side of the Moon (1973 -sold over 50 million copies worldwide!), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), The Wall (1979), and The Final Cut (1983)". Pink Floyd were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.

Pink Floyd was different not only because of their ground breaking music style but especially by their philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, extended compositions, and elaborate live shows - one of the most influential bands in the history of popular (rock) music.

That is a tricky also in which regard to qualify, only rock or general music -from your selection I love Led Zeppelin and PF, the other 3 are not my thing - I might add Deep Purple for the historic achievement of driving (all in Rock only) - if we move to include generally popular music it will become even harder. Driving bands not necessarily need to be my favourites just to explain - so my Top 5 (reducing them to the early times until 1980 (after that new heros on my list):

Eagles
Beach Boys
Pink Floyd

Naja ist wohl ein bißchen ungewollt formuliert. So wichtig bin ich nicht das die mich persönlich besuchen. Reicht das sie damals im Fernseher an mich heran getreten sind :-D
