The actual documentary Free Solo is the most blood curdling sports documentary I've ever seen. Alex Honnold is still the only rock climber in the world to have free soloed El Capitan.

Of course! I've watched Free Solo a good few times now (and The Dawn Wall), and I've seen the Ibex do its thing a bunch also. I just wanna see them both in a Gladiator-style faceoff lol.
I can understand the appeal. But rock climbing can never be a race, particularly free soloing.
