Very cool initiative. I'd say I'd be a good choice -- but I've been using bid-bots to generate some interest in my climbing blog posts (only until they're loud enough to be self sustaining). Excited to see who ends up getting the boost.

Well, how much have you been using it? I updated the post since I think that while i dont like using them, sometimes to promote a good initiative or to boost a great post is ok, but using them requently is another story.
I've just been kind of playing it by ear for now, and trying to cycle through the liquid rewards I got from a post where I was the recipient of a vote from @curie. I've only been using the services on posts that I feel are of pretty decent quality (moderate length write-up, and some informative pictures, with links to external sources that I talk about). To date, I've probably been using them more than what you may consider to be ideal -- but with low amounts -- 1SBD here, 1SBD there, kind of thing.
For what it's worth -- I've been searching around for some guidance on whats appropriate use of these services and what isn't. I see the kerfuffle with grumpycat and others regarding these, so I'm trying to be cautious. I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on the matter.
Ok perhaps make a post including that and the reasons why you do it, you never know...
