ROMANCE, without a doubt, is one of the most popular genre in the world of literature. Reading a romance novel is the best experience for any hopeless romantic out there. It tackles the feeling of being in love, getting hurt and rising up to fall in love again. It is a very interesting genre because it's not only limited to love but also depicts real-life situations. It digs deeper on human emotions and actions which makes it very relatable among readers.
But what makes a romantic novel romantic? What are the qualities of a good romantic novel? I've interviewed a few bookworms to get their insights regarding this popular genre.

"As a big fan of YA romance novels, I love to read stories with strong female protagonists. I love women who are not submissive to men because I find them cool. I usually go for feminisim-type of novels like Memoir of an Ex Prom Queen, Crossfire Series, Lara Jean Trilogy, November 9, The Fault In Our Stars, By The River and I Sat Down and Wept. Some of the authors that I truly admire are Jane Austen, Jenny Han, Colleen Hoover, John Green and Paulo Coelho among others."

"The twists are very important for me when it comes to reading romantic novels. It has to be unexpected and unique. And the characters! They need to catch my attention on the first chapter for me to continue reading the book. The characters should intrigue me, get my interest and make me curious.
