The rumour mill went into overdrive this week with reports of the possible transfer, with Sky Sport Italia reporting sources close to Juventus are currently mulling the logistics of an offer for the 33-year-old.
Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes, who was in Turin over the weekend to finalise Joao Cancelo's transfer to the Bianconeri, is said to have also discussed the Portugal captain's move with club officials.
Some reports are suggesting the Spanish giants have already accepted a €100 million (A$158 million) offer from Juve.
While the fee remains manageable, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's expected salary could cloud negotiations.
The Portugal international is said to expect €30 million (A$47 million) per year to make the move - a figure that could rise to as high as €60 million (A$95 million) with Italian taxes.
Ronaldo, who scored four goals at the 2018 FIFA World Cup as Portugal crashed out at the round of 16, hinted at leaving the La Liga club shortly after their historic third successive UEFA Champions League title win last season.
Nevertheless Mendes, who brokered Ronaldo's initial move to Real for a then-world record £80 million (A$143 million) fee, has left the Italian giants with plenty to ponder ahead of the 2018-19 season.
