Thus I lived with Lenya all autumn, winter and the beginning of spring, and all this time was a general favorite of the company. People used to carry products like before, but almost everybody always tried to bring something for me personally - candy or a chocolate bar or a pack of good cigarettes. My boyfriend was jealous, of course (considering the almost "model" appearance of Lenya, despite the fact that I had nothing with Lenya, but all his dissatisfaction stumbled over my argument "If you don't like something - take me to your place, niva-question, I'm only in favor, but keep in mind that I'm 14 years old and by my age I'm already a well-known breakaway, having in the history of the drive to the children's room police. I can already imagine what your intelligent, high-moral, and highly cultured parents, who almost faint with the word "ass", will say about it.
After the winter holidays and one more job on holidays, besides the elections, we started to have some money and I persuaded Lenya to start going to school again, especially since he had to quit his car wash because of one bad accident. In the autumn, Lenya accidentally cut his toes with a stream of water. If anybody doesn't understand and decided that I've had a little too much Becherovka here, I will explain. A special Körcher device is used for washing heavily polluted cars. It generates so much water pressure that it strips off even the rust to the bare shiny metal, and therefore can cut a person to the bone. And this cut leg in the conditions in which he worked - always wet feet, and bandages, always soaked with toxic chemicals for washing cars - did not want to heal, and by winter there was such a horror that he even began to limp, and I decided that if he did not change his job immediately - then so little time and without a leg.
Since the headmaster was a good friend of our family, with the help of my dad, with whom I had finally reconciled myself, I managed to convince him to put an end to Leni's six-month forced truancy and make it look like he was just studying elsewhere for six months.
I left Leni in the spring, around the end of March. It so happened that I was somewhere (probably in a computer club, where I often hang out), got very heavy flu, got so sick that literally almost died. I felt bad, but I was awake, trying to pretend that I was okay, and calling doctors was strictly forbidden, so that the latter would not have any questions about what a teenage girl in someone else's apartment was doing here, etc. When I got so sick that I stopped calling and answering the phone, my dad decided to stop by and check to see if I was okay, and when he caught me in such a state (and I was already so hot that I didn't think of anything and didn't recognize anyone), Naturally, he called an ambulance, I went straight to the hospital, under an I.V., and after my parents' recovery and vows never to touch me again, no matter what I did, I came home to live. However, I visited Lena's company often in the evenings and was always there a welcome guest, so welcome that he had my toothbrush in his bathroom and my personal set of bed linen with chamomile in his chest of drawers in case I wanted to stay the night.
You know, I'll tell you what: for most of my friends, I've concluded for a long time that they're "friends" as long as I'm okay, and when I'm having problems and need help solving them, especially if it's related to some kind of discomfort, loss or risk of damaging my reputation in the eyes of others - most of these so-called "friends" under various pretexts merge into emptiness and dissolve into the fog. So Lenya is one of the few people who, even though not being my closest friend, has always done everything to help me and has always been on my side in any conflict, regardless of whether I was right or wrong. I appreciate it very much in people and I never forget it.
