If you're like me, you've most likely basically been raised by the internet. Video games like League of Legends and Runescape taking up about 90% of my waking hours, Youtube being my go to source of human interaction, and Google, quite literally, my best friend.
We spend most of our time sitting, typing and thinking. I can't be sure if I spoke 100 words today, and it's already 3PM. Pretty casual, isn't it?
If you're like me, you know that we're just getting started. Our breed is one of high Intelligence, high creativity, with lots and lots of time on our hands. Gamers, Geeks, Nerds, whatever the name may be, you know it's yours. Selected from god knows how many other spermatozoids to be born in an era where computers are redefining the very definition of life, and behind those computers, well of course, there's us.
Satoshi Nakamoto demonstrated something very important, by creating Bitcoin, and that is the fact that everything can change, and everything is constantly changing. On the internet every single day is new. Trends come, and go. We make them, we follow them, we forget them until we eventually revive and upgrade them.
If you're like me, gaming has taught you some unforgettable life lessons. It has taught me I could become whatever I wanted, as long as I could gravitate towards it.
This very principle, which I then read in Napoleon Hill's book (Think and Grow Rich), is based upon a simple truth in life, an undeniable reality: to every action, there is a reaction. If you can create a chain of actions, and control the subsequent reactions, you have the ability to shape reality to your liking.
What Nakamoto did, is using the existing momentum towards decentralization, individualism, digitalisation, he fused them into one thing.. the Blockchain's Bitcoin. It's the first stepping stone of the staircase to heaven, or hell.
It is up to us, the youngsters, toddlers of the internet to decide in which direction it is going to go. The human race to riches is one that cannot be won, however, it can be fun, inclusive, and diversified.
I've been plunged into videogames for the most part of my life, however, the past couple of years, by distancing myself from the "virtual world" and discovering more stuff IRL, I saw nothing but similarities between the game world and the real one. In my philosophy, Life is a game. It is a MMORPG with an infinite amount of players, items lost upon death.
Make the most out of it, and keep on being AWESOME!
