Congrats on making it in a time that was below your goal. I am going to a conference this week and they have a walk/run where you have to guess the time that you are going to finish in. You aren't allowed to bring your phone or fitness tracker or anything so you can't pace yourself. I think there a some people who run regularly that just have a sort of internal clock and can pace themselves that way. It is a pretty cool event though. They do it at a ski resort so there are many ups and downs through the course.

That could be interesting. I seem to run at a fairly consistent pace, but then I need to keep pushing if I'm to improve. Races are good for that
