Okay so I came here exactly after your plogging post. I commented on that post and mentioned by neighborhood.
Here is the thing, during my jogs I go through some areas where the my situation is something like yours. You mentioned about avoiding the puddles, for me its just about finding a dry effing place for my footing. After a few tries there I just switched to a different route. Running and puddles don't mix well...........high probability of an injury.
By the way, good luck with the half marathon. If possible would like to here more about that event.
I could have run on the path above this cycle track, but it really wasn't too bad. Just got my feet a bit wet. Overall this winter has not been terrible. We had snow for a few days that stopped me running as I was worried about the ice.
Of course I'll be posting about the race :)
