I mentioned that I wanted I do some running whilst here in #Berlin. I was going to go out on Thursday, but it was really cold then. I did want to do the parkrun, and it's not so cold today, although there was snow overnight.
It was about 2km to the park, so I jogged there to warm up.
It was sad to see some people sleeping rough in this shelter. That's common everywhere I go.
There were lots of British and some Irish people there as well as locals. A British guy was directing the run, so he gave the briefing in both languages.
The run was all on paths and was not too slippery. They pointed out where there was ice. It was two laps of the park. On the second we had to take a loop up a steep hill. I did walk some of that. The runners got quite spread out, but the marshals and signs kept us on track.
I didn't feel the cold too much. I find that I soon warn up. My long sleeve top keeps me snug.
The jog back was fairly gentle, but I felt it was a good start to my day.

Update: There was a picture of me on the event site. I was 31st of 59 with the winner finishing in under 20 mins!
Wow! Good job heading out in that kind of weather. I am watching the snow come down right now. It is supposed to accumulate up to a foot today and my exercise will consist of shoveling once or twice I think. I need to get it all cleared by Wednesday when temps are supposed to drop in the -35 range.
It was only just around freezing on Saturday, so not too bad. It was a novel experience for me, but I'm still feeling the effects today in my legs.

It wasn't too slippery really. The snow had just the right amount of give to get some grip. Just had to be careful when going downhill.
Good time, taking into account the temperature conditions. You are strong man.

Good effort... I didn't realise they were international park runs!
Ticking off the countries, Poland, Germany... sure you can get a few more in there by the end of 2019.... and of course that'll include where ever SF4 is!
I've run in other countries, but not parkrun. There was a good turnout given the weather. Turned to rain now
Good to hear... rain on snow, not my favourite combination it has to be said!
I hope you enjoyed the run despite the snow... but it must have warmed you up not to feel the cold..

I was a running nut! Now after 3 hip replacements no more running! I miss it.
I started late, but I'll do what I can to stay fit now. Don't want to wear myself out.
