Prigozhin, the Wagner leader that lead the coup attempt in Russia, has apparently been assassinated. His plane fell from the sky about 2 hours ago. There are videos of the event.
It has always been uncertain why he was allowed to live by Putin after his coup attempt. Now we see that he was always a dead man walking.
Its still unclear as to what exactly happened. Was the plane shot down by Russians, if a bomb was planted, or if it was a very unfortunate accident of a plane falling out the window 😂.
Already the Wagner telegram channels started threatening a new march on Moscow.
Prigozhin has been confirmed being on the flight manifest which generally means that he died in the crash but you never know for sure. More information will come out soon but as it stands now most news sites are reporting his death. Could it be a ploy to disappear?
With "general Armageddon" Sergey Surovikin being removed a few days ago from his position and other allies of Prigozhin dropping dead alongside him, if he is indeed dead, it very much would seem a purge is ongoing right now in Russia.
