Why I want Russian and American peace

in #russia7 years ago

I just want to get it out of the way. I am Russia. I was born in Russia to a Russian mother and a Dominican father. I lived in the Dominican Republic for 14 years and now I live in the United States and I am a citizen of the United States. Forgive me for not wanting the country I picked as my own to have global thermal nuclear war against the country where I was born.

Now that I got that out of the way, I want to explain how the New Cold War is a waste of our time. If we all remember the documentary by Oliver Stone, "The Untold History of the United States," we had an opportunity as Americans to avoid the Cold War all together by having both systems (communism and capitalism) fight it out fairly in our world. However, the United States wanted to position itself as the only superpower, the Soviets and everyone who associated with the Soviets were demonized. Mr. Stone clearly explains in the documentary and in the book how a targeted propaganda campaign demonized anyone who supported socialism, labor unions, and ideas against the establishments as Communists.

Currently, anyone who is against the ridiculous narrative that "Russia hacked our elections." The same people who pushed the "Iraq has WMDs" narrative, are currently pushing the Russiagate narrative and they are getting ridiculous. One example, is that many news anchors are using the "17 American security agencies said so" narrative, which was later proven that was only three security agencies who claim Russia had anything to do with the American elections. The propaganda has been repeated multiple times on our mainstream media since the narrative was created by John Podesta when Donald Trump was declared the president; taking a skeptical population from shrugging at the idea that Russia meddled in the election to mostly believing what the mainstream media has been repeating religiously since November 2016.

As a skeptical (in my case biased) citizen, I am not able to turn to the mainstream media. I stopped believing on what I see on CNN when I saw Professor Stephen F. Cohen correct a very convincing Anderson Cooper, that what he was saying about Russia and the Ukrainian government was not correct. Professor Cohen used historical data to explain his opinion; this was in February 2014. I continued my disappointment when I saw how quickly the US government blamed Russia for the downing of Malaysian Flight 17 in July 2014, even though Ukraine had a history of downing planes and denying it. Example: Siberian Airlines Flight 1812, which was downed October 4, 2001. An investigation by the Russian and Israeli governments proved that the Ukrainian army shot the airplane using an S-200 missile.

My biggest frustration comes from the fact that we cannot prove who actually hacked the Hillary Clinton servers, since the Hillary campaign did not give the servers to law enforcement for analysis. However, people from VIPS (Veterans Intelligence Professionals for Sanity) explained that it was not a hack; it was a leak. They could not recreate the download and upload speeds used on the "hack" and concluded that it was probably a copy directly from the server to a portable device. I just hope that someone who is an actual write, an intellectual, and a person respected by the whole United States can bring some sanity to everyone. I feel like the Russian people and the American people get along very well, but our governments make it difficult for us to remain friends. Peace is way better than thermonuclear war.
