A friend of mine has a Ryanair flight a few weeks out and started to get paranoid when he could not find out what model plane serviced this route. A quick Google search revealed the unfortunate news, Ryanair had purchased some 737 MAX models and would be adding them into the fleet starting in April. Sh*t. In the wake of 2 tragic crashes of the 737 MAX which killed all the passengers on board, my friend didn't want to take chances.
So he wrote the entire Ryanair board a short and sweet email threatening to cancel his flight if they would not confirm which model. Within an hour, he got a response from the Ryanair COO.
Paraphrased for privacy:
Thank you for your email.
We do not have any MAX aircraft in our fleet.
We will not operate MAX aircraft until they certified as safe by the European Aviation Safety Agency and the Irish Aviation Authority.
We will not be operating MAX aircraft in April or May 2019.
Safety is my number 1 priority for our crew and customers. At all times.
Have a great journey with Ryanair and thank you for your business.
Regards
Peter

Thank you, Ryanair. No complaints - I only wish you traded open on the stock market so I could buy up some hot shares.
