Hello. Good day everyone! I have finished my watercolour drawing and I want to share it on steemit.

This is my entry for a contest held by @agneslaczo . Thank you so much for holding a interesting contest, I think you guys should participate too, here is the link: https://steemit.com/sailor/@agneslaczo/art-contest-7-sailor-win-sbd-10-winners

The theme of this week is sailor! ⛵️ ⛵️ ⛵️
I love this theme, I had got an idea to draw a sailor man on his boat. He's looking through a telescope but he sees no island. Nothing but the sky meets the sea at the horizon.

Here is my drawing process

first, I made a pencil sketch about what was on my head. I drew an old man and a boat. This process took only 10 minutes<

after the sketching was finished, I traced the pencil sketch with a pen for a smoother lines and to make it more bold.

now is the time for colouring! I used watercolor. And started to shade the background first. I made some clouds in the sky.

I progressed painting all of the background objects. They are the sky, the sea and also a boat

now, only the sailorman that left unshaded. It has many details so I left it for the last. I chose gray color for the jacket and the telescope. So it has metallic properties, especially the shine.

Very nice drawings man! :) I like how you show us step by step the process of the drawing. Inspiring for future artists.^^

Thank you so much..
Yeah I hope so. By showing the proccess, people can learn how it was done

Very beautiful drawing. It looks so real like its was taken with a camera. I do hope u win👍

I'm glad you like it. Thank you

Nice drawing. You have an amazing talent

Thank you so much. I need a lot of practices anyway

Well done work, love it. I was wondering what did you use to make the outline of the sailor before you began to colour the background like, doesn't it runs out when water comes near the ink like, doesn't it runs out when water comes near the ink?
X

Yes. When I used the watercolor over the ink, the black ink was covered by it. So I got to redraw the outlines with a black or darker watercolor after I painted the base color

Aah Like so, oké Thanks ;)
