With today being March 25th, 2018, on the east coast we find ourselves in the midst of the long winter; like our lives could handle any more blurring between fiction and reality. We've all at least heard the phrase "winter is coming" from the popular HBO series Game of Thrones, referring to a longer winter that was fast approaching, never experienced by the living generation. Well what if there was something a bit more sinister to the repetition of the phrase? What if it was meant as a form of programming to prepare us for an event to come or maybe one which has come already? Here we go.
Back in 2016, in his run for the presidency, Donald Trump boasted of his negotiation skills and his ability to win. Millions cited his Art of the Deal book as the proof of these skills and said it would take a business man to negotiate for us, making deals to benefit the American people.
Well I'm here to tell you today, that I've figured it out!
Donald Trump has yet to strike a deal with the powers that be, the video above labeling them as the Rothschild family, in order to turn the heat back on. With American tax dollars not being used on our universal right to heat, March 22nd has come and gone, and a deal has yet to be reached. Is this writer supremely disappointed in the deal making efforts of our Commander and Chief? Yes, but I think there's a little more to it.
Why would it happen now? As I mentioned earlier the phrase "the long winter is coming" or "winter is coming" is a concept which isn't foreign to us, it has been implanted in our culture for some years now. Why not take this chance to stretch out the timeline for negotiation and strive for the ultimate goal: The long summer!
Summer forever! So much winning! * Trump voice *
Does our 45th President have the skills of which he convinced us of upon getting elected? Can he do what 44 men before him, taking into account technological advancements, couldn't? Probably not! Do I actually believe any of this? Yes, 'cause well why not? Hypernormalisation, man. "I can't tell if they're joking or serious," you must be asking yourself. The reply being, "doesn't that say a lot about the world we are living in though."
As for the Game of Thrones, the show is taking the year off and has been notoriously quiet in all this long winter business, a marketing gold mine I'm sure. Could it all be a coincidence? Are we ever going to see spring again? Will Trump restore us the only universal right we truly have? Will he build a giant wall?
Sorry, Bad Taste.
