What Are EDSI Tokens?
Eddie Earner Income (EDSI) tokens are income-generating tokens on the HIVE blockchain that pay weekly dividends every Monday. These dividends come from 12% of the total HIVE POWER balance held by the @eddie-earner account, providing token holders with an impressive annual percentage yield (APY) of over 22%.
Token Supply and Mining
EDSI has a hard cap of 500,000 tokens, with an initial public sale of 20,000 tokens priced at 1 HIVE each. New EDSI tokens can be minted in two ways:
- Staking EDS Miners (EDSM) or EDS Mini Miners (EDSMM).
- Delegating HIVE POWER to @eds-vote.
- EDSM miners yield approximately 20% annually.
- EDS-vote provides returns of about 4-5% per year.

This Weeks EDSI Report
We are very consistent with our mintages lately, we minted 497 EDSI this week bring the total circulating supply upto 81,614.96. This 497 is roughly 290 form EDS miners, 190 from eds-vote and whatever is left over from EDSD. We can see from the total chart that it took 3 years to 4x the supply which is crazy but crazy good cause they are all backed with HIVE.
555 HIVE powered up this week to the account, this pushes the balance to 138,877 HP. We will see a dip in the amount being powered up in around 9 weeks, but until then, we're golden.
319.39 HIVE income pool this week for EDSI token holders, an increase of 1.29 HIVE from last week which is great. EDS is close to 5 years in operation but since we started the above chart 3 years ago, EDSI has paid out nearly 36k HIVE to token holders. Remember, the numbers each year only go up, and we should pay out over 18k HIVE in 2025 alone.
If you look really hard at the above chart, you can see a small decline over the past 6 weeks, but it's minimal. This week, we see the EDSI APY decline by 0.04% to 20.42%. Still killing it after 2 years of weekly declines 😁
Some people ask what the bottom floor APY for EDSI is. This is hard to answer because of all the variables that eds-vote and EDSD added to the mix, but one thing I can say for certain is the EDSI APY will never drop below 12%. I do not think it will ever drop that far, or even close to it, but I can say 100% that the bottom APY for EDSI is 12% because the weekly HIVE income pool is equal to a 12% APY from the @eddie-earner HP balance.
For the EDSI APY to drop under 12%, EDSI would need to become unpegged which would be a whole new can of worms. If I had to ballpark it with a guess, I'd say we'll never drop under 16% but that is ballpark and not to be quoted. Unquotable 16%,...maybe.
Weekly Roundup
Another week passes by us, the overall markets are getting destroyed and everyone is hurting pretty badly. Even HIVE tanked 25% at 1 point before making a small recovery. Because EDSI is 100% HIVE only, these outside things dont really have any impact on business, and we carry on as we do each week.
It wasn't me!
Remember a few months back when I shipped out 30k EDS tokens as eds-vote rewards that resulted in having to create EDSI tokens? Remember I said I forgot to add the decimal, so instead of minting 291.28 tokens, I minted 29128?
I knew I had hit the f*ucking decimal bottom; it's just muscle memory for me, but I could not use this as an excuse because it would have been a weak excuse and I knew the best course of action was to man up and say I forgot to add the decimal.
Anyway, fast forward to today when im trying to mint EDSI to send to eds-vote and you never guess what happened when trying to enter in 199.28?

We're owed compensation from hive-engine! This cost us around 2500 HIVE. Whos on the hive-engine team so we can collect our bug bounty? What's the bounty reward anyway?, $10-20k is standard I think? Never mind, they'll probally reward us with Splinterland cards or something like FarmerFarmFarm Farmer tokens. I'll just send in the whole number from now on.
