Why STEEMIT stopped giving SBD in rewards?

I think it is because that supply of SBD is not capped. And if they stop giving SBD away, it will increase it's value or at-least stopped it from decreasing. And I am sure this is the only reason it's price is higher than STEEM.
What do you think?
