We make it happen you might not agree with basic income and suppose you are the type that says "you better work for it" Used to be me. Now with steemit its a whole new ball game and building a community is a top priority. To help out those in need and show support where it belongs.. now don't confuse this with a handout no no no, you still need to do a bit of work to earn it.

Giveaways are always both sides you give something to get something, it be your time mostly.

Okay back to @steembasicincome read a bit about their intro here. SBI, In the past I have done contests it is now time to change this to give every one a chance of a basic income on steemit(Considering you are not on any blacklist, of course)

Pros of basic income System:

1. It would provide those in school or looking to go to school with some much needed financial relief.
   2.During hardships such as a recession.It would provide a lifeline for families in abject poverty.
   3.For Countries looking to boost their birth rate.It will encourage marriage between the young population.

Cons of basic income system:

1.Like with everything good,there is bound to be abuse. If not properly managed or regulated.
2.It would drive up prices of goods and services leading to inflation that's if the government does not put some control measures in place.
3.Some groups of people would lose the incentive to work or acquire a skill or an education since they now have an assured income leading to lazy hands syndrome therefore constituting a nuisance to both themselves and the government.

Alright, here's my list of pros and cons, while it might not apply to everyone, I think it applies to majority of the people, let me know if you've got more to add to the list.

Pros and Cons of Basic Income:

Pros:

• Everyone will be able to afford their basic needs
• People will think of pursuing things they like which will increase their productivity

Cons:

• Some people might get lazy and just collect their basic income rendering them less productive

I don't think a UBI outside of Steemit is sustainable. Many Countries are deeply in debt already, there isn't enough money on the table to even think about it. Not to mention It would cause inflation. If everyone has more money all the sudden, wouldn't prices go up?

On Steemit however, Steem Basic Income is a good idea because you have to invest to get into it. I would compare to investment for the future, or a sort of annuity. No one is proposing right now to give these shares to everyone, however when you buy one you necessarily sponsor another person, which adds a nice element of kindness into the mix.

Looking at steem basic income in terms of the Pros and Cons I think it an innovative initiative. Blogging can be a tough specially when you have just started and @steembasicincome would ensure that some upvotes and money keeps coming to you with each post. Do not see any Cons in getting some basic income :)

Pros Of Steembasicincome

1. There is livelihood in it, when won by well meaning quality producing steemians is give them an assurance of an upvote.

2. There is sustainability embedded in it, I mean this idea is close to flawless. It cant die, its a win-win for you and I.

Cons :

1. It can be abused, just like using a tag or something, it will get to a time that the population of steemians using stebasicincome will increase beyond imagination, to curtail abuse will be hard, and many steemians will use that to there advantage. Abuse of the system that feeds them, they'll be encouraged to do as they like.

A UBI outside steemit is not sustainable.

1. It breeds laziness in bringing out a quality post.

Tier 1:

There are organizations that believe that basic income is possible and are working for the proposal to be discussed in government institutions. Finland launched a pilot test in 2017 assigning 500 EUA to 2000 unemployed citizens and the first readings are promising. We will have to wait for the final result.

I do not think that receiving a monthly contribution encourages non-production or inactive and lazy citizens. I think that on the contrary, it would stimulate creativity and participation. When people feel relieved of economic pressures, they feel stimulated and encouraged by ventures that allow them to double what they already have, without the fear of failure. They have a better attitude towards life, those who feel financially protected.

Either way, there will always be lazy people, that is a human condition that will not disappear. The important thing is that those of us who try to be productive are more.

As for the SteemBasicIncome project, it seems an invaluable alternative for people like me who are at the lowest level of the chain in Steemit and whose efforts are not rewarded as we would like. Within Steemit there is one more step for the distribution of rewards to be balanced or equitable. That would surely lower the feeling of frustration and encourage participation.

Currently, I have shares of SBI that gave me a noble soul and gives me a lot of peace every time I post a post and I get a vote from SteemBasicIncome, because something will add up at the end of the month. Unfortunately, due to the hyperinflationary situation in my country, I would need to make 5SBD a day to guarantee minimum food at my table. That is why I try to participate in each contest to try to gather as much as I can. But that is another issue.

Pros of basic income:

1. On steem it can give you the ability to gain more Steem Power without getting economically involved, so that's good if you don't want/are not able to buy STEEM$ with your money.
2. Outside: with a guaranteed income you may have less worries since you can work less and you aren't totally without an income if you lose your job.

Cons:

1. I think I'm not expert enough to see why basic income can have cons on steem it,.
2. In real life well... that income must come from somewhere, that somewhere being someone else that may disagree with having to "fund" someone for basically doing nothing (that's actually a simplification maybe).

My thoughts about a granted basic income may be summarized as follows:

• Pros: a stable income might incentivize mass adoption, Steemit could boost its user base with this kind of projects. Even more, users should blog to earn their income. They cannot just passively earn steem.
• Cons: the system is just too game-prone, users might just start to post whatever trash they came up with. This would be a massive harm to the platform. I really good system of curators should be needed to prevent this kind of abuse.
