Life is full of choices. Even when we refuse to make an outright selection, we are actually choosing not to choose, In all, we bare the blessings and consequences.

Reading passage:
Romans 5:12-15.
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
In the passage above, Paul compares the two most significant characters in the whole of human history - Adam and Jesus Christ. These two characters stand out from the rest of humanity and are representatives of all mankind because the history of humanity is defined by the choices they made and the results that followed those choices.
Verse 12 is a reference to Adam's choice to disobey God when he ate the forbidden fruit (Genesis 2:17; 3:6). On the contrary, Jesus chose to obey God when he agreed to die in our place on the cross (Matthew 26:39, 42; Philippians 2:8).
If we look at Vs 15-19 we can see that the consequences of Adam's disobedience and Jesus' obedience on humanity.
Now the long and short of the whole thing is that Adam's disobedience, carelessness, nonchalant, carefree life, brought sin and death into the world which affected everyone, but when Jesus came into the picture, he simply obeyed God, he never let go so easily despite the trials he passed through, the doubt from his own kindred etc.
Jesus still forged ahead and this brought us redemption, not just redemption, it also brought us salvation, justification, life, forgiveness of sins etc.
Our choices in life can have far reaching effects, not only on us but also on generations coming after us. It is therefore important that we make our choices carefully and under guidance of the Holy Spirit.
It is comforting to know that God has provided an adequate remedy for all that Adam's fall brought on humanity; all those who believe in Christ can now live by it to please him (vs 20-21).
Stop and ask yourself
"are there choices I have made in the past that has brought pains on me, my family and others? "
If YES repent and mend your ways.
I thank Jesus for the obedience that has brought me eternal life. I pray He help me follow His example of obedience as i make choices in my everyday life. Amen.

Our choices are quite very principal in life. In some cases, one may not live to tell the story if the wrong choice is made.
We learn from bad and good choices, but it is better not to make mistakes. God bless you.
