THE CHILDREN OF GOD WE HAVE A SINGLE IDENTITY

in #sc-v5 years ago

Identity is what distinguishes a person from another which is determined by a set of features or characteristics that define it as such.

As natural persons we have an identity but also as Christians we have been endowed with a new identity that accredits us as children of God and although many argue that they are all "children of God" it is interesting that they could deepen to biblical snow what

the Bible explains about of a true son of God.
For example, we read in the book of John the following:

John 1:12
"To all who received it, to those who believe in his name, he gave the power to be made children of God."

This verse shows us that although we are all God's creation, we are not all called children of God, because they are really called children to all who have received him in his heart and believe him.

It is important to know that the Bible also explains that we are separated from God by sin and when we repent and receive him as our guide and father then we are called children because we have reconciled with the father through his Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 59: 2
"But your iniquities have made separation between you and your God, and your sins have made him hide his face from you so as not to listen to you." (New American Standard)

In this way we begin to have our Christian identity when we reconcile with Him and begin to change our life to a new life.

(2 Corinthians 5:17
"So if anyone is in Christ, new creature is; old things have passed; behold, they are all made new."
(RVR)

Jesus Christ is the only one who can give us a new and unique identity to make us truly free and the freedom he gives us is to live a different life from the world, that is, it really makes the difference of someone who does not have Christ in his heart.

The identity in Christ leads us to practice every good work established by the word of Dis and is the identity that allows us to unify our immovable criteria according to what is established by the word of God

Ephesians 2:10)
"We are his workmanship; we have been created in Christ Jesus to perform good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we may live according to them."
(RVC)
