You and I, we were generously forgiven, now we must forgive generously

God has generously forgiven us, so that we can also forgive generously. God wants us to, as we receive it, dispense mercy.

Psalm 86: 5 King James Version (NIV), the word of the Lord says:

5 Because you, Lord, are good and forgiving, and great in mercy towards all who call upon you.

This crucial sentence is aimed at changing life in both terms of the equation:

1 in our reception of divine love and his merciful forgiveness and

2 in our reciprocity of forgiveness when we receive it.

The virtues of goodness and forgiveness are attributes engendered by our heavenly Father, and must be found in our lives. God expects us to be like Him, that is, we are ready to forgive our neighbor's transgressions with the abundant mercy he has shown us. "Great" comes from the Hebrew rab, which means "abundantly, with excess."
God does not want us to ration our mercy and forgiveness. He is looking for people who share mercy and forgiveness unlimitedly.

For further reflection and consideration of this theme "Generously pedonados, to forgive with generosity", other biblical quotes are shared with the reader:

Psalm 130: 7 King James Version (NIV)

7 Israel wait for Jehovah, because in Jehovah there is mercy and abundant redemption with him.

Psalm 145: 9 New International Version (NIV)

9 Jehovah is good to all, and his mercy upon all his works.

Joel 2:13 New King James Version (NKJV)

13 Tear your heart, and not your garments, and make Jehovah your God; because he is merciful and merciful, slow to anger and great in mercy, and hurts the punishment.

Sort:

We must give grace what we receive by grace, and God forgave us all sin, in the same way we must forgive our fellow men, forgiveness frees us.

the prayer of the Our Father understand the need for forgiveness

God is infinitely good, the bad man is because he is not able to see his vondad and mercy to himself.
