Greetings dear community!
Welcome to my blog.
The days have been a bit difficult, but when we have the one who can do everything by our side and we believe in his promises. He gives us the victory.
I would like to start this article with this verse:
Psalm 34: 7"The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and defends them."
Today I will be talking about the "fear of Jehovah"
Deuteronomy 6 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)
1 These, then, are the commandments, statutes, and decrees which Jehovah your God commanded to teach you, to do them in the land to which you are going to take it;
2 so that you may fear Jehovah your God, keeping all his statutes and his commandments that I command you, you, your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life, so that your days may be prolonged.
An order that is often given to the people of God in the Old Testament is "fear God" or "fear Jehovah."
It is important to know what that order means for Christians.
Only when you truly fear the Lord will the believer be freed from bondage to all abnormal and satanic fears.
THE MEANING OF GOD'S FEAR.
The command to "fear Jehovah" includes a diversity of aspects of the relationship we have with God
It is indispensable to fear God to recognize his holiness, justice and righteousness, we must know him and understand who he is.
That fear is based on the recognition that God is a Holy God whose very nature causes Him to judge sin.
To fear God is to respect him with holy fear and reverence.
Honor God as God because of great glory, holiness and power.
Philippians 2
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but much more now in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
For example: when on Mount Sinai Israelites saw God manifest themselves by thunder and lightning, and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud horn sound, all the people shuddered with fear and they beat Moses that he spoke to them instead of let God himself speak to you. (Ex 19.16)

The genuine fear of God makes Christians put their faith and trust only in Him for salvation, an example of this was when the Osraelites crossed the Red Sea in the dry and saw the enormous destruction of the army, they "feared Jehovah, and creyerobn to Jehovah.
Exodus 14:31
31 And Israel saw that great thing that Jehovah did against the Egyptians; And the people feared the LORD, and they believed the LORD and Moses his servant.

REASONS FOR THE FEAR OF GOD
He must be feared because of his great power as the Creator of all things.
The amazing power that He continues to exercise over the elements of creation and of human beings is cause for fear of God.
When we understand the holiness of God, that is, his separation from sin and his constant opposition to it, the reaction of our spirit is to fear him.
Beyond all doubt, the fact that God is a God of justice who judges the entire human race causes fear of Him.
Conclusion:
Fearing God implies recognizing that He is a God who is angry with sin and has the power to punish those who transgress their just laws, both in time and in eternity.
Psalm 76: 7-8
7 You are terrible;
And who can stand before you when your wrath is kindled?
8 From the heavens you have heard judgment;
The earth was afraid and was suspended
God is constantly observing and evaluating the actions of human beings, both the good and the bad, and to be held responsible for those actions, both now and on the day of personal judgment.
God has promised to reward all who fear Him:
Proverbs 22
Riches, honor and life
They are the remuneration of the humility and fear of Jehovah.
Proverbs 14: 26-27
26 In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence;
And hope will have their children.
27 The fear of Jehovah is a source of life
To depart from the bonds of death.
Proverbs 10: 27
The fear of Jehovah will increase the days;
But the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
Psalm 34: 9
9 Fear Jehovah, you His saints,
For nothing is lacking to those who fear Him.
The fear of God is an attitude of reverence and respect towards God, which passes progressively through the following stages:
• An awareness that God is the owner of our souls, and has the power to grant us eternal salvation or to eternally condemn us in hell. Although the motivation generated by this fear is completely selfish, it is preferable to have no fear of God
• An awareness that God is constantly looking at everything we think, say and do, and that He has the power to reward or punish us according to our behavior; which should motivate us to be careful and stay away from evil
• A conscious and permanent desire to please God in everything we do and not offend His holiness
• A humble acknowledgment that He is God and we are His creatures, and therefore, He is worthy to be feared and revered.
Unfortunately today the fear of God has been lost in many hearts, returning to the old path is the call of God continually to his people, to love, to peace etc. Great theme this sister.
