1 Peter 1: 3-5 King James Version (NIV)
3 Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy made us reborn for a living hope, for the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 for an incorruptible, uncontaminated and unrepeatable inheritance, reserved in Heaven for you , 5 so that you can be saved by the power of God through faith, to achieve the salvation that is prepared to manifest itself in the last time.
The word confirms that those reborn in Christ have a living hope. What happens then to those who still do not have a new birth in Christ?
People without Christ do not have a basis for their desires and expectations. Many live with a false sense of security; They believe that the important thing in this life is the physical and the material. But there is no security in these things (1 Tim. 6.9). Those who prefer wealth and health before God, discover that their dreams are not fulfilled.
Believers anchor their hope on the solid rock that is Jesus Christ. Because the words of the Lord are true and their promises are invariably fulfilled. Sometimes I see people who fulfill their desires without fulfilling in God, and then complain that He failed them. But Christians who make a request and always submit to God's will will receive an answer: yes, no, or wait.
The Lord does not disappoint those who seek to do their will. But don't misunderstand this statement. We may be temporarily disappointed when something we expect is not within God's plan. But it does not break the promise of giving your children the best (Is 48.17; 64.4). When one door closes, there is another one about to open with something better behind. The Lord cannot be overcome in generosity. What you have in store for us is much more than we can wish for. The best option for the Christian is to put his hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Accept everything that fits God's will for your life, and stay away from anything that isn't. Circumstances may change, but Christ never changes. Christ is the hope that never disappoints.
