Greetings and blessings to the whole family of @Steemchurch.

Perseverance drives him to reach his desire above trials, struggles and circumstances. Perseverance is what encourages you during the development of the career of your purpose. No matter the years that have to pass and the amount of obstacles you have to face, the important thing is that in the end you will receive the crown of your efforts.

When we talk about Abraham, we always associate him as the Father of faith, however, Abraham's perseverance, to see the son of the promise, was important.

In Genesis 15: 5-6, the Lord had told Abraham:

Look at the skies now and count the stars, if you can count them. And he said: This will be your offspring. And he believed Jehovah, and justice told him.

In addition to faith, Abraham began a hectic process of perseverance, since initially when God called him to leave his land and kinship, Abraham was 75 years old. God, in this passage read, confirms to Abraham that he would give him a descendant in such a way that there would be many nations, including Israel.

When Abraham's eyes managed to see the son of promise, Isaac, Abraham was 100 years old. God's promise to Abraham had a fulfillment time of 25 years. Throughout that time travel, Abraham did not faint, nor did he stop waiting for what God had promised him.

Why did God have to go through Abraham through a long waiting process?
God wanted Abraham to learn the relationship between waiting, trusting and having hope. All this is synthesized by the apostle Paul saying that hope moves us to wait on God with "patience" (Ro 8:25).

The church of the Lord must follow this example of Abraham, we must develop our patience until the coming of the Lord. He who endures to the end will be saved.

Sort:

Abraham is called the father of faith, in him God established a covenant that remains to this day, was a man who taught us perseverance and the fruit of what it means to believe God.
