A call to repentance

in #sc-v5 years ago

After several days of rest I start this community again wishing a happy new year full of such peace and prosperity.

This time I want to speak about the word of God in the book of Zephaniah, calling attention to all the Feligreans and those who have the opportunity to read this blog.

Zephaniah 2: 1-3
2 Gather and meditate, O nation without shame,
2 before the decree takes effect, and the day is passed as the tamo; before the fury of Jehovah's wrath comes upon you, before the day of Jehovah's wrath comes upon you.
3 Seek to the LORD all the humble of the earth, those who put his judgment to work; seek justice, seek meekness; perhaps you will be saved on the day of Jehovah's anger.
(Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960))

God has always been pleased that his people congregate to analyze his word and to pray and seek him from the heart.
As we all know God has also called on the nations to repent of their sin and their evil deeds for their rebellion against Him and this time we read the call of Zephaniah's attention to the repentance of Judah, for God had already spoken about the judgment that They came if they did not repent.

God's time has been fulfilled and today it is necessary for man to repent and believe in the gospel.

God has always given the nations opportunity and sent their word to repent and turn to Him and this is the occasion we can see in the call that Zephaniah makes to a shameless nation that did not take God into account for his various continuous sins.

The first thing we can notice is the call to the congregation because this people needed to congregate to meditate and reflect on all their rebellions against God Well for there was a judgment of judgment for the nations.

The verse specifically quoted on 2 draws attention so that they meet and act before the decree takes effect and no one could stop it because God was angry at the nations for their sins and rebellions.
In the same way today God calls on all present nations to turn to Him and repent of all their rebellions and abominations.
When God determines a judgment on a nation and nothing is done to retract their sins, the wrath of God falls and people will be devastated as a breath suddenly.

In the same way today God calls on all present-day nations to turn to Him and repent of all their rebellions and abominations.

When God determines a judgment on a nation and nothing is done to retract their sins, the wrath of God falls and people will be devastated as a breath suddenly.

The call is for people to seek justice and humility since the wrath of God is revealed against injustice, pride and impiety of men who stop justice and truth to reveal themselves every day and immerse themselves in their sins.

When man understands the call of God he repents and changes his mind as well as his life.
Prophetic times are being fulfilled in all nations and God is calling mankind through his word to repent and seek him wholeheartedly.

ricci01.Very true @mildreduh, God always calls man to true repentance to reflect and reach his mercy and that all have turned aside in their own opinion and the nations are all in rebellions.

Happy and blessed Year 2020.
@mildreduh Your publication reminded me of the song that says "Trust in God and in His Justice, He will give us everything", so with joy we must repent of our sins and give our hearts to Christ.
