** THE SUCCESS OF INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS BEGINS WITH GOOD COMMUNICATION**
1.- Success in relationships with all people depends on the way we develop our communication.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest example of a good communicator.
The Christian is called to be an excellent communicator (1 John 1: 1-5)
2.- It is necessary to have an adequate approach to people (Matthew 3: 1, 2)
A good communication starts from knowing our interlocutor.
a.- The Lord Jesus Christ became interested in people.
b.- For the Lord Jesus Christ, people were first before the message.
c.- The messages of the Lord Jesus Christ were aimed at generating an attitudinal and behavioral change.
It is important not only how we say things but how they understand them.
3.- Our message must be concise and understandable to all people (Matthew 13: 3-8)
The commitment of a Christian with a high level of communication, lies in taking a complex message and transmit it in the simplest way possible.
The issue is not what we say but how we say it.
To develop good communication it is necessary to define:
a.- The theme that we are going to share
b.- Express ourselves in simple, understandable terms
c.- Use as much as possible illustrations that compliment the understanding and the message.
4.- It is necessary to have wisdom to know when to speak and when to shut up (Matthew 13:57, 58)
WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT OUR MESSAGES HAVE SUCH A TRANSCENDENCE THAT THEY LEAVE A FOOTPRINT ON OTHERS
1.- When we communicate, we reveal what is inside us (Matthew 13: 53-56)
The credibility in what we say is based on our facts.
When someone listens to us, they ask:
a.- Why should I believe what he tells me?
b.- Does this person awaken my confidence?
c.- Is this person really interested in what I say?
2.- It is fundamental that by sharing the message we demonstrate conviction (Matthew 4: 18-20)
There are no boring topics, only boring interlocutors.
There is no small audience, only small interlocutors.
3.- Our messages must generate a reaction (Matthew 13: 51,52)
Let's ask ourselves, how do people react to what we tell them? The Lord Jesus Christ shared messages that allowed the interlocutor to learn and do something (changes)
A GOOD COMMUNICATION TAKES SOLIDITY IN THE ATTITUDE THAT WE TRANSMIT
1.- Our attitudes are contagious.
2.- It is essential that we look at the person when speaking to him.
3.- Put yourself in the shoes of your interlocutor.
4.- Transmit thoughts and actions motivated by the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 4: 6,7)
5.- Measure the scope of what he says (Ecclesiastes 12.11)
Conclusion:
Christians are successful or we are in clear defeat based on what we say and do. Communication is essential. It is a principle in which we must move. Knowing how to speak builds bridges to others. If we do not express ourselves properly, on the contrary we produce negative consequences. In the Lord Jesus Christ we find an excellent example of the communicator par excellence and the principles learned today, will be of enormous help without a doubt. The important thing is to put them into practice.
We all exert influence on the lives of others. We influence for good or for bad. Young people receive and exert a lot of influence in different ways. What kind of influence have you received and are you giving? The Bible talks about the power of influence: Proverbs 1:10; 1 Timothy 4:12; Titus 2: 6,7.
